I am sure some of you simple minds will not get this but take a step back and look at the BIG PICTURE....

A) We ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS get shafted in the NCAA Big Dance because we are viewed as a WEAK basketball conference.....then we sit around crying till football season.

B) Why add another BEAST FOOTBALL MONSTER SCHOOL to beat each other to death with again. We do that already week in and week out... thus costing us bowl bids, MONEY....BOWL BIDS, MONEY need I repeat.

C) If we add schools that willdraw National Attention...WHO NEEDS IT...we ALREADY DO THAT!!!!

Why not look at adding a couple ( just one or two ) that will not be BEASTS on the football field but add to our Basketball resume.....

I will list a couple below and why.....do the same with the responses.

1) Missouri ( Good Football- VERY GOOD Basketball - Good Location)
2) Kansas ( Average to Poor Football - FANTASTIC BASKETBALL - Good Location)
3) Kansas St. ( Good Football - VERY GOOD BASKETBALL - Good Location )
4) Memphis - ( Poor Football - GOOD Baskteball - Good Location )
5) Louisville - ( Good Football - GREAT BASKETBALL - GREAT LOCATION )
6) Clemson - ( GREAT FOOTBALL - Good Basketball - GREAT LOCATION )
7) Florida St. - ( MONSTER FOOTBAL - Good Basketball - GREAT LOCATION)

I wouls vote this way:
Texas A&M - 13th team
Missouri - 14th team
Kansas - 15th team
Kansas St. - 16th team
( sub Louisville for either K St or Mizzou )
( Sub Clemson or Fl St for Mizzou )

At it's best, basketball brings in a small fraction of the money that football does. The conference expansions you see going on are about one of two things, the TV foot print of the conference (SEC, PAC-12) or self preservation (ACC). You comment that we already get national attention is baseless and ignorant. People in Missouri don't watch teh SEC more than they do the Big 12. They watch the conference they are in. Now, if they join the SEC THEN they will start watching the SEC.

This is about TV contracts and expanding for football into new TV markets turns into dollars for us. You will never see us offer to the Kansas schools. A) they are in no way a cultural fit with us, and B) no one gives a **** about basketball.

You will never see the SEC pick up a weak football school just because it has good basketball. We may pick them up for other reasons, but it won't be for basketball.
