gene "dizzy dean" swindoll in responding to several of his upset sheep about baseball " we are right on track to win 35 games and finish .500 in the conference which is what i predicted @ the start of the season" must be watching a different ball club than what i've been watching. back to the taxes. peace.</p>

I'll have some of what he's been smoking. That must be some real good stuff. If we can win 12 SEC games, that would be a very good season considering where we've been the last few years. I predicted 10-20 before the season started, and that's what I'm sticking with now.

There's an inverse relationship between Jortfro's unrealistic pronouncements about the state of a MState athletic program and its likelihood of success. e.g., crxxms.

In like manner, if you're a coach, beware the dreaded Rick Cleveland vote of confidence.

Jean is an idiot if he thinks we are going to be .500 in SEC play this year. We are 4-5 right now with 7 more SEC series. In order for us to get to .500, we have to avoid being swept and win 4 series.

Just taking 5 of those 15 will be a huge task.

Then we have OM and if Crouse continues to pitch well (I know he had a bad outing Friday), we'll have to win Sat and Sun to take the series.

As I said before, the meat of our schedule lies ahead.

..you are predicting that with 21 league games remaining, MSU is going to win only 6 of those games.

Yet you say that without loudly demanding Cohen be replaced.

Because considering the hell this board has raised about Croom & Stansbury, if John Cohen wins only his next 6 league games with 21 league games left to play, then, without a doubt, John Cohen will prove himself to be a disaster of a coach & should be fired immediately.

I not going to go full gene swindoll here, but if Cohen does not finish this season .500 in league play, then he better damn well get close to it.
