shouldn't be able to survey the entire field for 5-6 seconds. That's why you bring at least some pressure. No DB can cover a receiver for that long without him being open for a second, and when you have a QB with the ability of Mallett, he will get the ball into a tight space. Why are you defending Torbush so vehemently? Our biggest deficiency in the games we have lost has been our defense.

he made some errant throws. aGAIN, when you let him sit back there all day, he will find an open receiver every single time. We should at least TRY to make his life a little harder.

It's to force him to move around and make passes that wouldn't be as accurate as they would be if he's allowed to just drop back, stand there, and pick out a receiver.

But it is the playeres. MSU does not have the players yet. Really can't tell how good our coaches are because we do not have the talent to compete yet.

On the bright side, most are young and/or inexperienced and will be back next year. Besides having enough beef on the D Line, QB is the more than obvious question. Come on Cam!

They had a long TD play when we brought heat - a screen play that we did a terrible job on with angles and tackling.

Dude,

Torbush did every thing he could today. We started off dropping everyone back. We switched to blitzing the hell out of him. Which worked. Until they countered with the screens and slants. Which resulted in long TDs. Then we countered with blitzing a few guys. Which did not work because the QB got the pass off before we could get there. We tried stunts, faking the blitz, dropping into coverage, corner blitzs. We did it all today. Bottom line, they have a good QB and better athletes at their skill positions than we do in the secondary. We could not cover 1 on 1. They were to fast. You saw that early in the game with the long TD pass. Late in the game, we had KJ Wright and Chaney in position to make a sack and they wiff on that slow SOB. We were in Man coverage on that play too.

We just don't have the speed in the secondary. Which is f'n ridiculous. We can not find any 6ft guys that can run? Pathetic.
