even if we had the #2 class and OM had the #1. It's the way MSU fans think for some reason...
I'm excited about this class, but definitely a little disappointed about the finish... but we have to give Brewster some credit. In about 5 short months, he had more nationally elite talent interested in us that I can ever remember. Give him and Deshea a full year to recruit (along with our other great recruitings in Turner and Collins) and I'm excited about the possibilities.
Without a doubt. "Mullen turns people off by being arrogant"... Brewster and Deshea seem like the two most fun people ever. I would WANT to play for an arrogant head coach though. I would not want him to have to convince me to come to a school...
Look guys, we've gotten beat by Alabama, LSU, and everyone else in the SEC every year in individual talent according to the webpages since I can remember. For the MOST part... It doesn't seem to matter 3 years down the road. We had the best CB duo in college football this past year (used them wrongly, but that's a different story), Wilson and Lawrence in the past two years (albeit not as good) each have had just as much productivity as any linebacker in the SEC in 2011 and 2012... And that's not mentioning 2 star McKinney in the middle. Vick Ballard probably would have ended up at Troy had we not picked him up and he was easily the 2nd best RB AND INDIVIDUALLY WON US GAMES during his 2 years here.
Forget stars, we get just as good of players as anyone else*****. They just have them in their 3 deep, and I'm sorry... Kids with 20 offers aren't willing to sit the bench for MSU's brand like they are Alabama's. Would you rather be on the bench for the Miami Heat or get 15 minutes a game for the Sacremento Kings?
*****we have yet to pick up a WR worth much, and recruiting 2 star OL hasn't worked out well either, save Day. I think we finally addressed that.
