Dan will still start Tyler regardless....Built in excuse for getting blown out. "Well, we really missed Dak starting tonight and it kinda set the tone"

See, this thread should be about Dak being back on campus to play after his mom.

passing. But instead it is a bunch of jackasses making fools of themselves as per the norm. What is wrong with you people?

I for one respect and admire the heck out of him for coming back to his football family on the same day he put his mom in the ground. I can't even fathom being a 19-20 year old kid in college, burying your mom, and even attending a class for weeks. His mom raised an amazing young man and I'm glad he is in the Maroon and White.

Dak seems like he is a hell of a guy. I hope our team rallies around him and lets him know how awesome his quick return truly is.

That makes me respect Dak a ton. He seems like an awesome and very brave guy.

I lost my grandfather when I was at MSU and his funeral was on a Tuesday. I had a major test the next day that I couldn't afford to miss and couldn't make up, so I had to drive back to school right after the funeral and start studying. One of the most difficult things I've ever had to do because my emotions were all over the place. I could barely focus studying or during the test.

Me and gramps were close, but it would've been much harder to lose my mom. It appears that Dak and his mom were very close, so getting back into the normal flow can't be easy. Just trying to isn't easy.

People handle things in different ways, but you can't help but admire Dak right now.

No doubt. Dak is a leader and seems to be just an all around great guy.

If you care about Dak, you want HUD to get his hands on him.

Agree with this as well. Was a tasteless place for all the jokes...

I can't even imagine coming back like that with all that emotion. Hope he can pull it together and play the game of his life! He does seem like a guy that will have a positive response to adversity...

The socially-correct police were out tonight. Wish they hadn't ripped him on the four turnovers the day before his mom passed.**

We don't know if it was the right decision for Dak to come back today or not. Will his mind be at practice or back in LA? I personally could care less about Dak playing in this game because it is just that - a game. He is not abandoning his teammates because real family comes before football family. However, it is the decision that Dak has made. If this is how Dak can find solace in the situation, then I'll stand by him on it. He probably has prepared mentally for this moment for months now, knowing that it is a matter of when not if, of weeks and not years. We hope that his teammates rally him and rally around him. Just don't call people out when they don't take a knee and a solemn moment to reflect on the magnitude of the decision.
