Read a rumor on the Miami Scout board that Richt maybe about to offer a couple of his assistants from Georgia as co-OCs.
I know some on here have talked about Coley as a potential addition to the staff.
Looks like he'll be available.
Kentucky wouldn't take Coley even if volunteered his services.
How do you know this ? - serious question.
I would love to bring him on. Veteran play caller. Multiple set offensive scheme. Been around some very good teams and offenses. Recruits south Florida. He's exactly what we need.
Not sure about Miami but when he was OC at Fl State Jimbo called the plays.
No. That's not how it works. When we hire them, they are great coaches. They only start to suck after they start coaching games here. Which allows us to blame everyone for, well, for whatever. And as a lifelong follower of Miami, I think he's average at best as an OC.
The Co-OC ideal is interesting but Dawson and Coley run two very different offenses so I don't see how those two could coexist. Stoops indicated he is fully supporting Dawson so I doubt anything happens here, but who knows.
What we need is a dedicated, experienced QB coach who also is a great recruiter. Where can we find on of those?
Nobody wants to hear it but I'd love to get Randy Sanders back here just to coach QB's and he has connections in Tennessee (which we should start hitting hard. A lot of talent will be coming out of Nashville due to the boom there) and the rest of the Southeast. But I have a feeling that as arrogant and flippant Dawson comes off as he wouldn't give up that sort of control to anyone else. Which is a shame.
Not happy with wr performance but mainord has been recruiting the dmv very well considering who and what we are up against.Present WR coach isn't getting it done with his unit on the field or with recruiting off of it
At least the O line coach is bringing in 4 star guys
Joe would be a big time get !Don't know how true this is, but I heard the other day Joe Walsh wants to get back into coaching, and has been looking at horse farms.
