I had heard this from someone else, but now that Jonesy threw it out there, you have to think we've contacted his representatives...That would be a HOME RUN hire if there ever was one. Better recruiter than Stansbury, who knows on the X's and O's- but he cant be any worse- plus he could hire his Dad to be director of Basketball Ops and let him work on basketball stuff while Scott is out pullin in the playas

I've heard conflicting info on his pay...would be something interesting to watch

Drew took over a program left in a shambles as a result of the scandal. Besides losing most of its top players, the program was put on probation until 2010, and had paid scholarships and paid recruiting visits reduced until 2007. Post season play was also cancelled for the 2003–04 season, and only conference games were permitted for the 2005–06 season. With these handicaps, Drew led the Bears to an 8–21 record in the 2003–04 season, 9–19 in the 2004–05 season, and 4–13 in the conference-only 2005–06 season.

with talent. He can recruit but are they a disciplined team? Either way what he has been able to do with Baylor basketball is amazing. It's 17ing Baylor and he has them in the sweet16 and ranked in the top 10. The reason I like Shaka best is because he has a style or system "Havoc" that he can recruit the right players for. I'm not sure Scott Drew has a style other than to get long extremely athletic players. I've been touting Bryce Drew as a potential name without even considering we could get his older brother. I agree this is a homerun hire.

I think the idea is very attractive at first, but after some digging I wonder if our administration would be interested in him long term. He's definitely got some baggage and there are very few big time jobs open this year. I think we almost have our pick after Shaka heads to Illinois (if he leaves VCU).</p>

You question if he would be a homerun hire and reference season records as defense of your questioning the hire.
But then you list out in detail exactly what led to such badseasons and none of it was his doing.

You dont exactly support yourquestion with the post.

Congrats on your ability to speak from ignorance. Carry on.
