This is probably the only time that I will ever agree with you about anything, but you are absolutely right. It's a gimmick, and the worse thing about it is that it's very obvious that it's a gimmick. I really hope we aren't actually considering wearing black anything, and that it's just message board nonsense.ArrowDawg said:....made a damn difference in the outcome of the game. Teams that do that are saying one thing loudly and clearly, that they are a small time program that thinks like a small time program. It's gimmicky crap. When you're a member of the SEC you should act like it.
Black is part of Georgia's uniform colors.BCash said:but Georgia did it for the Florida game as well as the Bama game (which they lost badly). I wouldn't consider Georgia a "small-time" program. Now that I'm done playing the devil's advocate, I agree. If Georgia does it, it's ok but if State does it, it might make us look small-time
I remember AD or someone else one the team saying how much mor they liked our new uniforms, and stated how you always wanna look good, etc. Also, didnt someone post on here yesterday a poll they saw where one of the top reasons recruits choose a school is how much they like their uniforms? Finally, as racist as this may sound, African American culture these days is very image-oriented and in a very African-American dominated sport, I think having a good looking uniform is a concern.Recruits ... football players in general ... don't care about that stuff either.
