Assistants are a step backwards and no SEC school has hired an assistant as a coach since 1998---MSU hired Rick Stansbury.

but are you really going to count AK's 'interim' and then HC 'by default' at Cincy when Huggins resigned/was fired as REAL HC experience?

Well, at least he got a jump on his NIT resume while he was there.

If Jay Bilas were reporting this, no one would ask for his source. If memory serves me Coach34 has broken a few rumors that turned out to be true but I'm not banking on everything he says just yet.

would really "HOPE" he gets one right at least occassionally ... he posts a couple every day. But, then you go back and look at his "last post on Stans 'til next March'" post where his SOURCES tell him that the 'big money' guys got to Strick and Stans gets another year.

Within hours, the press conference is announced. From that post, one has to now assume that Strick just told those same cigar boys that they could go '17 off.' Yes, those would be the 'same' ones that are going to now pony up big bucks to buy out Shaka's contract. Yeah, got it.

Not just Wardlaw. Another web guy is too. Also Phil Cunningham getting strong consideration because of recruiting ties.

Payne is solid both on the recruiting front and coaching post players. He's had a hand in the development of Jones and Davis. Plus, Strickland has some pretty strong ties to UK.<div>
