We have plenty of guys from that class, so not worried. The guys are there, just need a system in place that can use the talent in place. Hopefully we have that in place now.

Sounds bad but when you look - he's 6'0 and 170 lbs.

We need to seriously stop recruiting underweight midgets at skill positions. In the SEC, that height and weight isn't even suited for being a water boy. JMHO.
You may want to check out his HS highlights before making any assumptions about ability based on height and weight alone. I watched that kid carry one of the best 4A programs in North Carolina for three years.

Fair enough and I'll even say you're 100% right. Just 2 things I'll point out. What can I do about it now? Heck, he might even come back to us after next year. Who knows with the portal at this point? It's crazy.

Playing high school football in NC and SEC football is a little different. You can excel as a smaller fast receiver in HS, but not many (some do) as undersized in SEC. So, any loss is sad, but like someone else posted, not devastating!!

Ace Sanders and Damiere Byrd say Hello. You can play at that size, but most times, you better be fast or have short area quickness.

He did have some serious hops to compenstate for his height, big tme vertical, to bad he did not stick around, I was interested to see him develop here. Very athletic WR.

Tell that to Devonta Smith
Ok, I'll clarify - I'm aware that there are exceptions to the rule. Fully aware. Fully agree.

But sort of to highlight my point - Devonta Smith played for Bama and was a 5 star recruit. He was a jewel that the likes of the Bama's can afford to bring in. - We're not Bama. We need to stop trying to find undersized jewels that everyone else has sifted through - and actually just build a solid team - starting with a solid foundation of normal sized players. THEN, we may get good enough to bring in a jewel or two, undersized or not.

Most of our undersized guys do not pan out. JMHO.

Interesting he doesn't want to give the new offense a try. Oh well.
Agree. Unless he was told/encouraged in confidence to pack his bags....stupid move for him walking away from this offense as a receiver.

Do you mean the offense with a mediocre QB, an abysmal OL and no running game?

Ask yourself this….who made an impact as a freshman and who showed a little “potential?”

This question proves your point. Wish I had a nickel for every freshman we thought may be good that never pans out. He appears to have some potential but not a takeover the game potential.

Don't you know, every 3 star recruit signed is an "under the radar diamond in the rough" and is going to be "coached up" and fans would rather have a 3 star who is hungry and wants to be here than a 5 star prima donna? Every portal player signed is a "huge get" and is going to fill a crucial missing piece.

Don't forget that every portal loss means nothing and we didn't really want the guy anyway.

LOL; yes, he was "just a three star, we shouldn't have recruited him to start with" or "he had a bad attitude, wasn't really giving his all and was a cancer in the locker room".

WR is the one position where Carolina can stand 1 loss.Quite frankly he’s no better than Carolina’s 3rd best freshman receiver.WR development is a lot about opportunity so I look forward to the guy that now gets more opportunities to develop a little quicker.

Well, he did have 176 yards receiving…..can you imagine the impact if he “doubled” that in year 2.😆

Wake me if Harbor says he’s transferring…then I will worry

Man he is making a business decision like sellars should have done. Briles has had numerous stops and doesnt stay long anywhere, the TCU people are very happy he is gone. He runs a smoke and mirrors offense that will not succeed in the SEC. Name one QB that Briles has sent to the NFL? Sellars made a huge mistake , he is not a good passer and just passed up maybe his best NFL chance.

Question for you..... do think it's coincidence that the taters are massively falling off the face of college football relevance now that everyone can buy players? We used to call that cheating......and it's not a coincidence. Merry Christmas.

Now that paying players $1000 plus a day to pretend to wash cars is legal, they are falling fast
