West Lincoln by 10. They’re playing great ball right now.

Reidsville but I think it will be close

NL by plenty... if they clean things up from last week.

....put a fork in the South Fork? No way!
It ain’t over!

I got North Big! Huge Respect to those Pisgah fans but these Knights ain’t no joke!

I got West in a thriller! Run it! Run it! Run it! All night long! That West Lincoln offensive line gonna plow that Cat Square turnip field up!! I know y’all can do it! Turn Bridges and Pendergrass loose on the Mighty Midgets. It’s gonna be a classic!

Newton... East Surry called... said just don’t get wrapped up in the all the hype. Play your game and good things will happen! Sounds easy... but so hard to do!

Maiden.... Kings Mtn called.... said Y’all sure you wanna go down there? I said... they got liver mush! Man! ... and then I hung up on ‘em!

Most thought Maiden would get destroyed last year when we rolled into East Rutherford ....including me! It was 3 to 3 starting the 4th quarter. We lost ....but we never quit. I was so proud of that team just like I will be this Friday night! In honor of Lincolnton, The Mule, and Dad and his tractor..., the Boom Devils figure out a way to win it!
....if we don’t ..somebody in the fork will!

North Lincoln would roll Reidsville by four scores.. if they put a running clock on Newton I might change my guesstimate . Their defense is horrible and if Reidsville is near as good as they claim they should win by 50

North Lincoln is not within 24 points of Reidsville. I like the Knights, but even Bazzle will tell you they're nowhere near Reidsville's dynasty level. No where close.

I love it! Now that response was funny! I mean that! Sincerely!

....you have to respect comedians. The ability to overcome the fear of speaking in front of large crowds... much less trying to make them laugh. Imagine the pressure! No wonder so many of them had problems...Pryor, Farley, Belushi, etc etc.
The Germans and Pearl Harbor was a great line that Belushi said in the movie “Animal House” while trying to motivate his frat brothers!
I tried it.... and it flopped! ....Like a leaf serendipitously fluttering in the wind! I’m depressed... where is that half gallon of Crown? I know it’s here... somewhere.

Yeah, I wish it was different circumstances. East Surry has a good team, but I know we are getting ragged on because they are a 1a team. Good luck to you guys, I hope you make a run at it.

Don’t matter if lose to an 0-11 team all that matters is in December if your holding that trophy and being crowned the state champions.

I agree. Best of luck to Reidsville in the 2A playoffs and best of luck to NL in the 2AA playoffs.

It's been a busy busy week! But I've made it!...well as far as today at least.

Let's get into it:

Pisgah @ North: North takes this game...I say by 3 scores. If it was at Pisgah I would say by 1. Not that I know anything about Pisgah...this is purely based on how disciplined, aggressive, and mistake free NL is. Been there and have seen it.

South Point @ West: West squirts this one out. They are riding high and deservedly so. They have too much pride on the line for their first ever home playoff game. West is deceptively good and that running back they have is sneaky and fast!

Newton @ Reidsville: Newton has proven that they have two-sides...the question is which side shows up...when they have momentum on their side they will kill you but without it they are super down. I believe they come out and smack Reidsville in the mouth. The question is...how will the second half adjustments shake out? Reidsville in a thriller.

Maiden @ Shelby: I for one am excited about this matchup...I never got to play against Shelby and I believe in my time at Maiden we could have beaten a few of those Shelby teams....anyways I'm excited to actually go and see it in live action!! It's one thing to hear about it...it's another to see it in person. The teams taking the field this Friday are going to have a unique connection: coach Justin Hawn. A Maiden linebacker in the mid/late-2000s and a very successful one at that. I was a couple years ahead of him. He was a missile at linebacker with a real nose for the ball, we didn't really get to play together all that much because of an injury he had that kept him out most of that year he moved up to varsity. Anyways...there are a lot of what ifs that will go into different ways Maiden might stay competitive but I say this: Maiden has to come out on fire and aggressive and play mistake free and put that same energy out all 4 quarters. We'll have to catch Shelby sleeping. Shelby will guaranteed make the necessary halftime adjustments to storm back...the question then becomes have we done enough damage on the scoreboard to keep them from ending the game with more points than us??? Probability says Shelby wins and so does everyone's opinion. But the thing about probability is there's always a chance that the smaller percentage comes up and the thing about everyone's opinion is that it doesn't matter, no one cares!! Besides..Maiden Creek puts out the only predictions I look forward to anyway! Maiden shocks Shelby through the first half then barely hangs on in the second to win! Maiden will host West Lincoln in a revenge game next week.

Well boys... it was fun! I had a great time watching all the teams in the fork this year. I will continue to support the remaining teams until the end! Gonna be a tough choice next week. The Johnny Reb’s or King Arthur’s Knights of the round table. I’ll keep you posted. Congrats to both teams! I’m so proud that’s it the South Fork against the Southwestern for a chance to win it all! Lincoln county vs Cleveland county in the 2aa West! Don’t get much better than that!

Shelby has a great team, great venue, and the best concession stand in the State! Liver mush, fried bologna, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, chicken wings, all the fixings which include, slaw, onions, chili, mustard, ketchup, etc, etc! They good people too!
Their team has studs everywhere, fast, hard hitting, dominant! Anybody who touches the ball can score from anywhere! I was very impressed with Bess, and all the receivers can catch extremely well. Yeah... they had some turnovers but it didn’t matter.... my Maiden boys did all they could... Shelby had too much talent on the field for us to compete! Congrats to lions on a well played game.

Congrats to all of South Fork teams... Newton Conover needs to hang in there as well. I expect them to be tough again next year!
