Shelby is a non factor this year in 2A playoffs. After beating a bad Chase team, people on the outside looking in think Shelby is back to their old form. Not true. They do have a good defense but their offense is so one dimensional as soon as they meet an above average team in playoffs they will be rolling out the basketballs.
Some teams defense might struggle with that one dimension though that Lions do well offensively and I have 1 highly ranked 2AA team from the west in mind.... And if Shelby defense plays well that night and and their O-Line can pass block an upset could be very possible on that Friday evening

IF......."on the condition that, provided that, presuming that, assuming that, given that,in the event that,....If you think East will beat SP this Friday night....Forget that! Enough said.....

Yeah well anytime South Point had played anybody with a D, they lost.

ER: 45
South Point: 31

The only "option" SP gets Friday night is figuring out which sister-cousin they are going to kiss to help ease the pain of getting that rear kicked.
When they win they just kiss both of them. There is a penalty for losing.

SP schedule has them more prepared for this matchup. We all respect ER offensive explosiveness. SP will need a very disciplined game plan and then execute it. That will not stop ER from having some success. They are outstanding when the ball is in their hands. SP's D will limit but not stop that explosiveness. SP's offensive will own the clock. SP doesn't need the big plays. They wear down defenses by pounding it right down your throat until you start guessing.
Guessing correctly gives us only a 2 yard gain. Guessing wrong is 8-12 yard gain. Guessing works 50% of the time. Do the math. I like SP by 13 points in a high scoring game. The 2 teams should top 74 points.

Dang! I just found out I’m going out of town Friday morning. I hate I’m gonna miss this one. Should be a great game. Hope players on both teams stay safe and injury free. Go Cavs!

Both were ejected for remainder of game for 2 unsportsmanlike penalties. They will play Friday nite. Fighting will make you sit the next game.

Raidersway, I do not expect as high scoring game. If it is 74 points, it will be SP 53 - ER 21. I say SP 34 - ER 21 if both teams bring their A game.

ER has athletes but the SP QB is back and the red bone will be cooking.....ER won’t stop ‘em. But what do I know....it’s getting late in the yr and SP is hard to stop. The question is can SP stop ERs high powered O

Be the 1st to admit i know nothing about east...except what ive read on hear...but if there not good on defense then i can't see them winning...probably the biggest regular season game east has played in a long time while playing in " big games " is 2nd nature to SP...imo only..you will have one team "hoping" to win and one team expecting to win....but should be great atmosphere

Lol. That’s not going to happen. Do you think if SP’s qb doesn’t go down they beat Crest?

Bro seen east play in person and on film, they do have 3 really good athletes, plus their line is huge. The problem is their defense I hope they win but dont see them stopping south point that wishbone will eat them up.

I guess east's game plan will be to outscore SP based on what's posted on here. I remember Cummings did that 100 years ago. They won all their games but it looked like basketball scores. Not sure if east is a machine like Cummings was back then.

Cummings defense wasn’t bad though in those years. If you’re talking about in the 2000’s. They did enough, like you I doubt east has that type fire power

The defense has slowly improved still have a mile to go. The offense on the other hand six players who can put up solid numbers. Mauney Waddell and Simmons can take it to the house from any where on the field . And Simmons has become a much better passer and has some solid receivers. Will the Cavs win I hope so .

We talk about Mauney, Waddell, and Simmons and forget that Harris had 3 TD receptions last week....

Will East get exposed, or will they prove to be for real? Is this their best team since 2006? We will find out tonight. Stay tuned! South Point 49 East 21

Harris is having a great season. As I said on the offensive side of the ball they are loaded.

Can anyone tell me if Waddell and Mauney have sit out for a quarter or half or any at all. One was ejected in 2nd quarter and the other ejected in 3rd quarter for unsportsmanlike penalties.
