For what it's worth, I live within driving distance, but a friend of mine just booked a hotel in south haven for less than $100 tax and all per night.

There is a fairly nice Best Western near the interstate in Horn Lake. It's on windchase across from the old Harley Davidson place. Basically go west from the Interstate on Goodman and it's the 2nd traffic light I believe. There is a Popeyes chicken at the turn.

I've stayed at Horn Lake Drury Inn several times, clean, hot breakfast and free beer and wine at happy hour. Drive an exit or 2 North from there and catch the LB shuttle.

I was curious if the Drury here did that. In St Louis they had the beer/mixed drink/wine happy hour along with hot wings, nachos, and a hot dog bar.

I don't remember if it was Shelby Dr. or Winchester but we exited 55 and went back over interstate to the West and met it @ a strip mall parking lot. We paid less than $10/person but don't remember the exact amount, if it was MATA or some independent or what. The only thing I see current is this:

The shuttle pickup is at the Southbrook Mall. You can leave your car parked there if you want to, but I wouldn't.

There is plenty of parking and it's a short, relatively easy drive from Southaven to Liberty Bowl stadium.

I live within walking distance to the Liberty Bowl and I'm young, white, and female. I run in the neighborhood and it's pretty safe. I'm sure there will be a few car break ins just because of the influx of visitors, but i've never been scared in the area. Your better off parking at the Liberty Bowl than the Southbrook mall. $100 to park in my drive way :)
