You definitely want to order some snoots.

http://www.bigmamasbbq.com/

1. Papa Sewell's Pork Snoot - $6.79 ( CLICK HERE to quick order online)
We sell over 50,000 pounds a year!(sauce on the side is NOT recommended)

2. Snoot Pieces- $7.49

The best way to describe is a really hard pork rhine covered in BBQ sauce with a slice of white bread for mopping up the sauce.

If nothing else, get Snoot pieces for the table - and get the pork steak. You will have leftovers.

Don't forget a cake!

This is some seriously good eats.

Thank you so much! 20 minute drive even in Friday nite traffic?

I’m trying to gauge how much time I will have before the Eville/WV game and if there is enough time for a round trip to Big Mommas before 7pm kickoff.

I am projecting to land at Ohare around noonish (and we left on time this morning for once!!) and will drive down this afternoon. so should be in the Eville/ESL area by 5ish? Sound like I have enough time to hit big mommas!!

Yes it is right off the highway on 64. If you are coming down 55 go 270 south to 64 west and get off on the Kings Highway exit. Go left and Big Mammas will be at the Light. Hit the drive through and get right back on 64 east to 255 north to 270 east and you will be right back in Edwardsville. Shouldn't take you that long and you will be at the stadium by 6:10

The listing for "17th Street Barbeque" in Murphysboro (west of Carbondale) is well-deserved. If you happen to go there on a Sunday (earlier the better?), many of the pork items on the menu are served right off the animal there in the dining area to your plate!

Totally agree on 17th Street (also the Marion location gets my thumbs up as well) but way too far of the beaten path from the St Louis area....when you have Big Mamas plus Pappy's etc within a much closer distance....

17th Street is my all-time favorite BBQ in Southern Illinois.

Prefer the Marion, Il location, been to both.
