Our offense returned 10 starters last year and put up worse numbers than the year before. Dawson is not only a terrible coach, but an awful person. He's the reason we had locker room division by getting into actual physical confrontations with other coaches on more than one occasion.
I don't really care about whatever school he's coaching for... at least until now. I hope you guys get the full effect of what we got from his one pathetic season here.

Thinking he may be. Aside from that, it's incredibly stupid to suggest that the offensive coordinator's play-calling abilities have no bearing on the offense.
Really looking forward to this years opener. Not only just watching the game, but getting to read some of the most interesting posts. You know, when the coach calls a 3rd down and A BUNCH running play up the middle.
We all think we know what they should have run, but of course that is after the play is over. Listening to comments like that is just part of the excitement though.
I suppose if its 3rd down and a bunch to go on our 20 yd line, a pass play is not desirable because everyone KNOWS its going to be a pass play including our opponent, a QB sneak would probably not work either.

What will ware down defenses we face this year is the hurry up/NH offense. We are 5 deep at the running back position, 3 deep at TE and will rotate as many as 7-8 receivers. In other words we will come after defenses in waves, running them to death. That's something that will be hard for defenses that do not have great depth to deal with.
I will pull the Wildcard response.
You are clearly very happy Dawson. UK fans are thrilled with Gran and Hinshaw. It's a win-win situation.
This post is full of bs. You guys have a nice lil program and no Kentucky fan will say otherwise. You guys have some talent and could beat Kentucky. Anytime you have an elite QB leading your team, you have a shot at beating any team. If you guys had to play Bama 10 games, odds are you would probably upset them once. The difference is, if you guys played Bama in a one game format, odds are you would lose. Talent does matter. The reason you guys have kids that want to be at your school is so obvious i can't believe i actually have to type it. The reason is, most of your kids didn't get major division 1 offers. If you really think most of your guys would have picked your school if the elite programs across the country offered them a free ride, you are insane! We lose kids every year to these elite schools. If you want to go back 20 years, we have some pretty nice wins on our resume as well. We beat LSU while they were the #1 ranked team in the country. So what? If you go back 20 years, you can make a case for every school in the country. Every school has a nice win or two. Upsets happen every year. I don't know where you get the fact we think we will blow your team off the field. We're not that loaded just yet. We do have more talent than you guys and at the end of the game, it will be the difference in the outcome. We see this all the time. We will hang around during the first half only to be worn down by the end of the game and too tired to make plays to win the game. Good luck to your school, but you will not make us fear your school. The day i fear losing to Southern Miss is the day i decide being a Kentucky football fan is a waste of my time. No disrespect intended, but you guys don't have the look of the type of SEC teams we have to face all year long every year.
They don't have an elite QB. They have a QB who looks elite beating terrible teams. He threw 9 TD's and 7 INT's against teams over 500. Not exactly elite. And no, they would go 0-10 in 10 tries to Bama.

Correct. Their "elite" QB will be lucky to be drafted- and, if he does, it will be very, very late in the draft.
To the previous poster, I agree with most of it, but they wouldn't upset Alabama once if they played 10 games- they might, might do it once in a 100 games, if a few top Alabama players were suspended or seriously hungover. To be fair, we probably wouldn't do it more than 2 or 3 times in the same circumstance.
