That league isnot muchbetter than the one they were already in, before it got raided. There won't be an automatic BCS bid for its champion, though there should be one for the higher rated of the Big East and CUSA/MWC champion.

When WVU, Pitt and Syracuse leaves, the Big East will look 17n pathetic... It will be the WAC all over again with Boise on top and once in a blue moon competition between Houston andCincinnati. Add the fact that UConn is trying hard as hell to get out and go to the ACC. If they're successful, they'll probably take another Big East team with them. Both of these conferences look shot the hell up.

Trivia time. When was the last time USM had consecutive losing seasons in football?

Don't think the BE cares. Anyway, it was 1933, 1934 the last time USM had back to back losing seasons. As for the conference stuff, it is what it is. Just have to win this new league on a regular basis and it should work out fine. That along with good OOC schedules and the AQ designation going away in 2014 should be enough. By the way, met EJ for the first time recently. Impressive man. Said he was looking forward to the MSU games coming up. He talked highly about his time in Starkville.

At first, I wasn't so sure if that was a good hire, but considering how he's kept a decent class and has a nice staff on hand my interest is starting to pique. It would be pretty cool to see if Starkville has some kind of welcoming for him when you guys come up to play.
