but 6-6 is about their best record with our schedule. 11-2 c-usa champion = 6-6 SEC West team.

I think they are certainly good enough to beat 6 teams on our schedule (and I guess auburn would be in reach on the right week), but I'm not sure it's realistic they'd get there playing 6 typical sec games (don't think UK and UM were typical this year, as far as being beat up at the end, even when you win).

I'd bet on 4 or 5 wins, with an outside shot at to win 6. I think maybe they could have competed with Auburn at the time we played Auburn, so that would have been a potential game to outperform State, but beating La Tech coming off of Auburn and LSU would be tough, UAB was obviously tough for them without an SEC game the week before, and UK is as dangerous as UAB and Marshall, so there were three games for them to under perform State.

and they are better than us. You people are so damn biased it's crazy. At the very least, don't totally rule out that possibility.

...if we played USM's schedule we could easily be an 11-12 win team. USM was beat by Marshall (6-6) and UAB (3-9). We beat UAB and I'm certain we could beat Marshall. they're quality wins were LaTech and UV. We beat LaTech and I think we could beat UV. I Don't see how that makes them better than us. You could count Houston as a quality win, but we all know they were WAY overrated. Biased? Yes, I'll admit it. But, logically I don't see how they are better than us just based on schedules and results. Only way to really know would be to play them and that could happen.

So they would have 5 wins (LA Tech, Memphis, UT-Martin, Ole Miss, Kentucky).

They would definitely lose to LSU, Bama, Arkansas, UAB and Georgia.

They have as good of shot as going 0-2 in the toss ups as 2-0. They could be 7-5 or 6-6.

But, we were also losing at the half vs. UAB and should have lost to LT. USM has two better wins than us. We aren't very good at all. I don't know whymany of you continue to stupidly argue that we are.<div>
</div><div>USM's schedule sucked. But, it is no fair to just look at their losses. We would lose to ****** teams too if we played 10 ****** teams a year.</div>

It doesn't matter that we were losing at half to them... we still soundly beat them. And no we should NOT have lost to Louisiana Tech. We should have beat them like we beat UAB. I don't consider Virginia a very good win. That's a team that we could have beaten this year. And USM never played a defense at all. You people are crazy to think they would win 6-7 games with our schedule.

and just have to totally disagree. We won. End of story. If you're going to play the "coulda woulda shoulda" game you have to also concede that they were awarded a TD that was not a TD.

All of this "we woulda beat Marshall" and we "woulda won 11 or 12 with their schedule" is just maroon colored glasses. I guarantee you that we coulda, shoulda and woulda beat Marshall and UAB but we had to play the games and it didn't work out that way. You did beat UAB and I will give that to you. Thank god for UAB and Memphis or you would be at home in the bowl season along with yourMS conference breathren. If you want to win 11 or 12 a year then get off the Alabama-LSU-Auburn-Georgia-Arkansas-Tenntit and join CUSA or the Big East. Well maybe not the Big East, you don't have the TVmarket.

Would you rather stay in C-USA knowing that the Liberty Bowl is the highest water mark any school out of that conference will normally achieve, or would you you rather move to a BCS conference and get the revenue and the chance at better bowls knowing the competition will be much tougher? We had a pretty good season last year and got to suck on that tit as well, as a matter of fact, we pitched in some revenue of our own.

Honestly, I would love for USM to enjoy a level playing field. That however is not gonna happen. The sad thing is that you will never enjoy it either. The big boys will never let you have anything resembling a string of success in football, its just the way it is. As this year proves, it is easier in the current BCS rules for us to gain access to a BCS game then it is for you. The thing that really sucks is that the ELITE of the SEC will not always share with you guys. The money is just to much to ignore. Eventually they will push all of the non-producers (and I mean the almighty TV sets)out. That will include MSU and Ole Miss. The part of this that really sucks is that with all the SEC money yall have been given you will be ahead of us in facillities. However we will be used to fighting for everything we getand I believe this will give us an advantage if that time comes, and I believe it will, eventually.

No comparison in the how physical each league is and the buzzards would be limping into the remaining 4 games of the season. 5 wins max with our schedule but more likely 3. They'd drop an OOC after a physical beating from the average SEC team. Im not even going to go into depth about the difference in overall team speed either.

Typical Alabama arrogance: The MS schools are "welfare queens."

Over the past decade or so, you may recall that the MS schools have had some wins over the aforementioned UF, UT and the Mighty Tahd. In the SEC, the powerhouses you mentioned (did you say UT?) can only have winning seasons by beating us "poor sisters."

BTW, LSU also held us to only 2 FGs.
