“I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing,” the tech billionaire and Trump donor told “CBS Sunday Morning.” “I think a bill can be big or it can be beautiful, but I don’t know if it can be both.”
Anyone (on the Left) who thinks Trump's budgets won't eventually include deep discretionary cuts is probably as equally naive as they are happy Musk doesn't like this spending bill. That's understandable, because most of those folks have never complained about these crushing deficits until DOGE started uncovering how much of it is simply waste, fraud and abuse.
However like so many other things the Left has either underestimated or just flat out gotten wrong about Trump, they will once again be squealing like pigs once Trump's future budgets start reflecting how much of the DOGE waste, fraud, & abuse we can and MUST do without.
Let's get these tax and regulation cuts passed first...then we can watch the Left go berserk as the appropriations processes (ie: rescissions, sequestration, reconciliation, etc) start gutting all of this wasteful and needless spending.
