Isn't Cohen supposed to be a hitting coach? I knew we weren't going to hit all the way back in the Fall. If you looked at the Swan's fall stats, you'd see why we suck so badly. We hit like1 home runall of fall andour average was pretty horrible. Keep in mind, this was against our pitchers, who are mainly made of freshmen and sophomores. We can't hit, haven't hit, and I have no hope that we will this season. And again, I don't give two damns that we're playing Vanderbilt because like I said, these exact stats have carried over through Fall practice so it's not a coincidence. Do I expect to win a series up there? No, but getting on the scoreboard shouldn't be an act of Congress. Cohen's got the rest of the year to show something but I'm telling you, don't get your hopes up. I've never seen such an inept hitting team.</p>
Spare me the line about Vandy being #1 or whatever. We've got major problems.

We have a lineup where if you look at it objectively, we are one of the worst teams in the SEC. That's why we are picked last in the west. You act like you are some rocket scientist. Hey guess what buddy? Everyone picked us to get swept! Can you at least wait till the weekend is over to start bitching about us doing what we are predicted to do? The answer is: no, you can't. You are a miserable complainer. You pull this routine in all sports unless we are ripping. Well guess what? This ain't Florida. We have no reasonable expectation to make the sweet 16, make the CWS, and win the Sugar Bowl every season.
Some of us on here respect what's going on at MSU right now and are supportive. Maybe it's a dwindling few. But it's more than just me. I appreciate what Mullen has done. I appreciate our basketball team not giving in this season and fighting it out, and I have high (and reasonable) hopes that we'll be damn good next season. And in baseball, we are going to win 30 games this year. And that will be marked improvement. And if you want to ***** about losing to Vandy AT VANDY then fine then go ahead, but I'm gonna ride your dumb *** for it. So keep it up, and so will I.

I actually don't think you're serious because there's no way anyone could possibly be as gay as you act on here. By all means, keep proving me wrong while I report the facts about this trainwreck of an offense to you. Please, tell me what a dumbass I am again, I think I forgot. Oh by the way John, it's now 4-0 and your boys still can't find 2nd base. And what part of being frustrated means that I don't want MSU to succeed? When you try to put together a JUCO All-Star team and expect them to be able to hit SEC pitching.
Based on the fact that we only have one JUCO player in our current class that is coming in next year, and that guy was only signed because we need another catcher, it appears as if Cohen has learned his lesson on that.
Unless you get a bunch of non-qualifiers, your going to end up with a bunch of role players at best.
And I know that this is semantics, but we actually hit four home runs in the fall. Not that it really matters much.
