Speaking hypothetically, does Ole Miss beating UT (if they hold on) help us???

If Tennessee wins, they most likely jump over us into the field. With a loss, they probably are NIT bound. Ole Miss isn't going to make the tournament anyway unless perhaps they make the championship game and give Kentucky a good game. And even then, probably not (see us in 2010). We also need Florida State to beat Miami, or the Canes could also leapfrog us.
Ball clearly went off of Ole Miss player with 11 seconds left, but ref gives ball to the Bears. UT should have had the ball down 2 with a chance to tie or win. Instead, they have to foul, and Ole Miss hits their free throws. Good for us though. Now come on Florida State.
They only have 1 win against the top 50. And beating Tennessee won't help them all that much. UT's RPI is only 75. They have to beat Vandy tomorrow and pray.
Ole Miss would have to beat Vandy/UGA winner to be in the discussion, and we all know they ain't beating Vandy. USM is probably in, but not guaranteed after they lost today. Basically, this is what you should feel about OUR at-large chances:
