Having a maroon Model T jalopy lead the team onto the field is as lame and contrived as having Doc riding in an MSU crop duster while somebody flew it over the stadium.

Please, no.

There is a black and white picture of said car in room 327 of the Comfort Suites. Apparently this vehicle (ok maybe not this exact one, but on like it) did roam the campus at one time

We appreciate the donation and all. But, let's not copy somebody else's tradition.

I'm probably going to boo if they bring that thing out.

a rock on a pedestal outside the locker room. We need to think about having a hawk circle the stadium and land at the fifty right before kickoff too. Wouldn't hurt to put some sort of large cat in a cage and park him in the junction. To top it off, we need to get a Choctaw to ride in on a horse and maybe throw a tomahawk in the endzone..

It could be used for many other functions around campus, but if we use it to when we run out like GT that will be ghey!

You're so predictable. Anytime someone disagrees with you, you pull out the "you're a girl" insult. Give me a break. Not everyone will think your ideas are awesome. Get over yourself. Most everyone's point is that a "dawgmobile" is a blatant ripoff of the Ramblin' Wreck, therefore it is incredibly lame. Newsflash, cb9: We already have a great, unique tradition. You used it to come up with your board handle. It's called the cowbell. We need to work to incorporate that into more things, rather than ripping off other schools and creating "new" traditions, which is dumb in and of itself.

I see it as more of a general aid for MSU and not something specifically athletics related. That being said, I see no reason why an announcement couldn't be made about the donation before a football game so long as the vehicle isn't overused in athletics.

Clemson has made a living off of ripping people off, and saying they thought of it first... It seems to have worked well for them. Lets just tell Tech we thought of it first if it happens

..and we should have Jackie Sherrill on the Mootube asking the crowd, "Are you ready?"

Cowbell9, why not do (or think of) something original? People tend to feel better about things when they can call it their own. You're starting to make a name for yourself defending rip-offs. The "bull" run through the district, driving old cars onto the field... next you'll be telling us to buy toilet paper before the first game so we can roll the corner of University and Muldrow after we beat Jackson State.

Or is this just a rumor?

If this happens I can't even begin to describe the embarrassment... Along the same lines of what Costanza wrote, traditions a lot of times come from obscurity, some random happening that tends to catch on. Wasn't the cowbell tradition started because a cow(s) ran onto our field and we won that game? Let Keenum drive that car around on big prospective student days or something, but don't use it on Scott field.

Cowbell, dog pound rock, etc... I prefer those types of traditions. I really hope this model t car doesn't drive on to the field this fall.
