True Story. I forget the year but it was when we beat Florida here the time before last, 3 and 54, you remember the game. A friend of mine and myself are riding around campus late Friday afternoon before the game getting in the spirit(s). We notice the gate to the field is open and being the huge dorks that we are, we decide to go out and walk around it a little bit. You know, soak up the atmosphere and whatnot.
Well as we are walking around the North endzone, something seemed a little off. Turns out, we had painted a big white G for goal line on the 5 yard line of the northwest corner of the endzone. So we make a few calls and inform certain people that there was a small problem with the field.
I laugh everytime I see a replay of that game and see a big white paw print on the 5 yard line covering up the unfortunate 5 yard goal line.

I remember the paw prints and thinking that they looked odd - never knew that was why they were there. Typical MState.

Obviously Croom thought the 5 WAS the goal line because we sure didn't get much further than that very often.

I guess it was college football 2002. I laughed when I saw them b/c I knew about the mistake.

To this day, still the greatest feeling I've ever had at Scott Field. Much better than 2007 Alabama, because in 2007 I expected to get whipped. I went into the 2000 Florida game confident we were walking out with the W.
