I plan to watch my DVR recording of the FF game vs UK last year. Are they doing much different or are they just more experienced by another year? Are there new key contributors vs last season? I've watched them some this year, but not a whole game. Thanks.

They are pretty much the same as last year. Except they have a year more experience. But what they also have is the revenge factor. That could play a roll here also.
Revenge factor? That may work in evenly matched teams. Wisconsin, I pray, will get to chase their revenge against WCS this time. They are what they were. We are vastly improved. Even if they manage to stay close through 30 minutes, they will collapse in the end.
Do you guys honestly believe that great teams that play together for another full year don't improve in terms of experience, discipline, and congruence?

Not sure about them, but on our side we've essentially trade Alex, Randle and Young for Townes, Willie, Lyles, Booker and Ulis. Kaminski is the key to that team, and if Dakari and Marcus could contain him, I feel pretty good about those two plus Wiilie plus KAT.

They havent though as Jackson has been out half the season now.
I'm curious to see how throwing another guy randomly back in the rotation affects them in the NCAA Tourney. Same with UVA, but not quite as bad time wise obviously.
Depends on how they use him. I'd suspect Ryan starts by bringing him off the bench, instead of the Coach K strategy where he started Kyrie Irving almost immediately after his return in 2011.
That said, the overall point is that a potential 31-3 Wisconsin team should not be a #2 seed in Kentucky's region.
Let Kimenski get about 20 points...I'll,b surprised if he does, unless it's after the game is really decided. I can't see him blistering Towns, Willie, Lyles, lee, and Dakari.
Our guards can contain theirs...their other front court players are good...not great or aggressive...trey will light him up.
We are considerably better this year...with all sorts of options of scoring( which we really didn't have last year). and we play some very good defense too.

UK is better at every position on the floor. The Cats also have a better bench and coach. I'm no more worried about Wisconsin than any other team when you get that deep in the tournament. Wisconsin can get hot from outside but a lot of teams can do that at this level of ball. One game at a time.

Agree. I think some on here misinterpret "fear" rather than respect for an opponent. They are one of a handful of teams that we are likely going to have to face to win the title. I think the logical concern for fans (and many in the media) is that it's unfair to both teams to place them in the same region. Both are legit contenders for a national title. Both deserve the opportunity to advance to the Final Four before running into one another.
Villanova and Gonzaga pose that difficult dilemma of pairing the #1 and #2 seeds fairly and logically instead of geographical.

That's not true. Their best perimeter player is gone. He canned 96 three's last year. They have no one even close to that this year. They do have your typical Wisconsin 3 point options, but nothing like that.
So to say everyone is back is 100% inaccurate. They also have had their key PG out for half the season and chemistry WILL be an issue when he gets back.
I'll take your Hayes and Koenig and raise you a Junior WCS, Soph Aaron Harrison and Andrew Harrison, as well as the two guys that owned Kaminsky in DJ and Lee. Plus, 4 stud frosh that we have.
Already tired of hearing about Wisconsin. According to some fans, you'd think they were the Lakers or something...last I checked, who was 31-0 again?? Only a couple teams have even challenged the Cats this year and Wisconsin is not "built" like any of those teams.
Which would you prefer? Even forgetting how well our fans travel, would you rather play Wisconsin in Cleveland or Gonzaga in Houston?

Wisconsin is 123.2. Duke is 122.9. Notre Dame and Villanova are less than two points behind Wisconsin. Nice try though.

dekker and kaminsky are better overall players this year. but again no jackson. i think we're better across the board compared to what they saw last year. especially defensively which is the real thing here. they're not scoring 70 on this kentucky team.
A big loss for Wisconsin is guard Ben Brust (I think that is the spelling of his last name) from last year. He had 15 points in the game that we played against them last year and he was a starter
Watched the 2014 game again last night and first, wow what a great game. Second, we are sooo much better now than we were last year. Especially defensively. This everyone knows, but to really appreciate it, those that have the game should rewatch.
In the last game we had both Polson and Hawkins in the game, while Dakari and Lee were both on the bench, for the last few minutes of the first half.
