So two of Bamas prized players get themselves arrested and all speculation points to them being gone.
Replace Bama with Ole Miss. Would said players have gotten the same treatment?

And more importantly, what would the CL say?

They would still be on the team and I think LSU would have kept them. I bet they are regretting not signing with LSU at this point.

Yep. Neither LSU nor UM would have even considered kicking them off the team, or even suspending them from any significant games. Just one reason I think Saban's right that we need a P5 college football commissioner.

Bama can afford to kick

these guys off, to an extent. OM and LSU (or us...or anyone else) can't.

Have we kicked Simmons off the team yet?

Must be nice. Here's the common sentiment if they lose big cam; "Oh well. So now we'll get a full three seasons out of Jonah Williams."

Meanwhile Scott Lashley will still be toting water.

I doubt the players would be kicked off the team. The innocent family members that Freeze convinces the players to falsely accuse would be in some serious trouble however.

I suspect they will end up at one of the following:
LSU
Ole Miss
LA Tech

I heard Robinson was smoking Marijuana...and he is a good Football player...sounds like a prime person for some "Heppin".

Also the Ole Miss method of moving the player's entire family to Oxford would help in this situation as well...Robinson wouldn't have been in Monroe Louisiana to get arrested if he would have signed with Ole Miss.

Possession of a Stolen firearm

I hope he has a good answer for that one.

The hot water could get deep in this situation.

Hard to do much heppin'.

You watch. Felony will be dropped and he'll plead to misdemeanor. First offense, no jail time. Saban will sit him for 2 games. He'll be in there when they get to oxford.

Well, they are in West Monroe

and I stated that I hope he has a good answer for the Stolen Gun.

AND THEN: possession of a gun , with narcotics, will not be easy to deal with.

The gun presumably wasn't stolen in West Monroe

AND THEN: gun + narcotics ≠ felony

AND FINALLY: 1st offense misdemeanor ≠ jail time
