Speed did not kill Salem tonight. The punt return was a speedy little return, but overall Lake Taylor executed and played better than us. Salem's trouble started in their defensive scheme. I have no idea why Salem did not run a 4/4 defense. Salem did not use the pass on offense like they should have, tried to get creative with the play calling, and special teams play was... well...classic special teams play in Salem. Why do we always kick it deep??? I'm kicking/punting out of bounds! I don't want to discount Lake Taylor. They have some great athletes. I just think Salem could have executed things a bit better than they did tonight.
