Watch Milo become president. Wouldn't surprise me. We have become idiocracy at that point.

Libertarian is alt-right with a brain.
I don't think you and I could be any further apart about what makes someone alt-right.

I don't rely on MSM to define it for me. I read them, such as Milo, such as Bannon. Milo is an interesting guy, and he's doing good stuff. But he's not a politician and never should be. Bannon is nowhere near what the MSM has said.

1% cut to EPA with no lost jobs plus he added military spending, so it looks like he's spending more than Obama ever did.

And just a few short weeks ago when he proposed his budget with all of the "draconian cuts" you folks were virtually apoplectic.

Where is all of your "support" for Trump now that his own Congressional Leadership has told him to essentially go fly a kite over this budget?

Why are you guys not overjoyed and rejoicing with your own Congressional leadership (Pelosi and Shumer) claiming victory in the preservation of deficit spending?

I thought you guys were all about fiscal accountability?

Like I said the day after the election, there is no one to blame but those idiot followers who believed his MAGA BS. He's a salesman who will tell you the sky is purple if it gets your vote.

This isn't Trump's budget bamaEER. So who are you upset with?

Trump was a Hail Mary by a consensus of politically conservative voters to peaceably bring about a shift in American politics, and I don't know if he'll be successful on his own or not, but what he did do was coalesce the political right under a loose banner of we're mad as hell and we're not going to take it any more. If Trump cucks or if Congress obstructs, and it's looking more and more likely that they will, then the next wave in the assault to bring sanity back to America will be much less genial and forgiving.

I'm not sure where that "assault" you speak of will come from, but if we don't get this deficit spending under control the "assault" my turn into a full blown second American Revolution.

Led by the American taxpayers.

How are you going to package that amid our voters hunger for loud and shiny things?

I'm reading through this thread and wondering what you folks on the Left are upset about?

We're spending more money we don't have, I thought this is what you folks wanted?

The right and the left in America are already engaged in a cold war which is on the verge of turning into a hot war, see Berkley antifa violence. If the deep state, globalist left and their useful idiots keep applying pressure then the right is going to have to choose between bloodying some noses or tucking tail and running. We know what the cuckservatives will do so the question becomes what will the new/hard/alt right do? I'm betting the punch back, literally if necessary.

I think you've nailed it. They're not doing the deficit spending, so that is more untenable to them than anyone else doing it (like Republicans in Congress)

I can't imagine why any of them are upset over this budget, but some are.

Well one thing is for sure, Trump's voters did not vote for this. So it's up to him to tell the American people who's responsible for it.

They are upset because their brains don't work and their souls are rotten. I blame public education and the dumbing down of the American populace through indoctrination and various other methods.

The Trump supporters I interact with are only interested in following him while/if he delivers on his campaign promises. They also are unlikely to swing to the left next time around but will more likely swing further to the right. I doubt any of the lefties on here are smart enough to figure this out though.

OK. That's a fair analysis. however mocking us (Trump voters) over our outrage over more deficit spending is a battle you on the Left will continue to lose.

No one who pays taxes thinks we're not taxed high enough. Everyone who pays taxes knows we (Congress) spends too much. Especially money we don't have!

Hey people...we're 20 trillion dollars in debt...we're broke....you can't spend what you ain't got!!!!!!

Sooner or later that bill comes due, and when you can't pay it, they (debtors) take their stuff back or you go bankrupt.

Keep cheering us on Coop over our failure to lasso this deficit dragon, those smiles will be on the other side of your depression laced faces when we go fiscally belly up.

You all might prefer that to freedom & economic prosperity, balanced budgets, and sound financial management of the Federal budget.

You all just want us paying 100% of what we earn to the Government, and letting them control everything.

No thanks.

He's signing it, so yes it is.

Well it's a CR...so it's technically not his budget because it is not what he proposed. when they get around to voting on a full year's appropriation, with tax cuts and everything else completed, then we'll see what his true test of leadership is all about.

Right now, this was a cave to threats from the spendthrift Dems (Pelosi and Shumer) to force a government shutdown over ANY of Trump's spending proposals.

Republicans didn't have the fight, or the will to challenge them for fear of losing their cushy jobs and being blamed for another Government "shut down" so they just threw their arms up and passed this bloated piece of crap so they can avoid having to make hard choices.

So I'll give you guys on the Left an "atta boy". Way to fight for more of what's got us in trouble and blame the Republicans for it.

Now, take your arguments to the voters, promise more of this...higher deficit spending, increased taxes, expanded programs we can't afford to pay for.

Let's see the taxpayers line up at the polls ready to pull the "D" lever for all of that?

We, or at least I, am mocking Trump voters for thinking Trump would do anything to the deficit, and now I get to sit back and watch all of his supporters slowly realize that, but must will be too proud to admit it. He campaigned against any entitlement reform, for a ginormous infrastructure bill, and other massive big government projects. lmao. I will continue to root for his failure and mock his supporters, but please...continue to say I am the one that doesn't care about our debt? Good one.

OK, so I'm thinking you guys actually agreed with Trump that this budget should be cut dramatically?

All I read back in March when he proposed his spending plan was you guys complaining about it. Now you get more deficit spending and you're still upset with Trump, but I'm clueless?

I will admit I'm confused.

So what do you guys want?

What would make the modern Left happy if trillions of dollars worth of deficit spending represented in this budget doesn't?

Far more than the President. I'm not talking about hacking a few cents from this department and moving them to that department. Full on entitlement reform.

I understand the Spirit of your question.

I'll answer it BB when I see how hard he is willing to fight for his priorities. He didn't put up much of a fight for this one.

More of the same come Fall, and then we make our feelings known to him at the upcoming midterms in '18. Those "primaried" Congressional candidates could be in for the shock of their lives.

Trump is smarter than the Left gives him credit for, maybe he's giving them (current Repub leadership) just enough rope to hang themselves?

We get a new Congress in '18 with massive support backing Trump's priorities...and we finally get some budgets with real teeth making real cuts similar to what he proposed this time around.

We'll see.

Coop, how much of this budget was Trump's proposal? Are you blaming him for not getting his priorities enacted, or are you blaming him for not stopping this?

I get that you're criticizing him, but for what?

This is what you lead with and it's wrong on all fronts, at least for me.

Biff was never about cohesive policies to make the country better. He was about knee jerk position statements that people wanted to hear. Now it's all finally going to **** and he's racking up a bigger bill than Obama would have had. The net effect of his saber rattling is zero.

To me he's still an enigma, and not the good kind lately. He cannot keep caving and moving to the center or god forbid the left if he hopes to maintain his very angry and vocal base. I don't know his motivations and he may be playing some sort of long game, but if he is then he's playing a dangerous game and he better know what TF he's doing.
