Spider Bites

i woke up the other day with two small red holes right next to each other on my thumb. I assume I was bitten by a spider when I was moving some boxes out of my garage, but didn't feel it happening probably because I just got back from a relatively long run.

The holes have turned brown now, but there is no swelling or anything like that. Only comparable pics on the web say it's a black widow. I have a hard time believing that, but you can definitely tell its from a large spider given how far the fang marks are apart.

Anybody been bit by a spider? Any idea what it could be?

Brown Recluse. Not sure if I spelled it right. They are pretty common. Got bit by one a couple years ago. The tissue tends to die around the bite but you will be fine.

Instead of a spider, could it have been one of these little centipedes?

Did you ask your boyfriend op? Maybe he bit you playfully trying to wake you up for a night cap.

I'll be stopping by later on today, OP.

This flipping car cut me off badly on the expressway this morning - almost causing me to go into the center lane barrier. I instantly thought you had come to get me. I'm now huddled safely in my office - and I may stay there until tomorrow.

As for the spider bite - apparently some black widows bite people without injecting any venom. Brown recluse bites usually have a ring around them.

Grass spiders and wolf spiders are very common in Kentucky. They are big and if they bit you it can become irritated. However, they are not dangerous. That is probably what you have.

Thought of that when I first saw it. No luck.
Did you do the smell test, or just try to wipe it off? Gotta get your nose down in there to be sure.

It's been on there so long now, it won't matter. Kinda like a dog turd left out in the sun. After a while it doesn't stink.
