6-2 SEC record got you in because of a screwup by Arkansas at the end against UT. Your 1999 team was arguably better than your West Championship team, but lost to eventual SEC champion Alabama and was kept out.

7-1 didn't get Ole Miss in because LSU went undefeated and won a national championship. But hey, if 6-2 and winning a tie breaker is > 7-1 in your world, more power to you.

You are arguing that you would rather skip the entire SEC Championship experience, simply because
7-1 (with NO SEC champ game) is better than 6-2 (with SEC champ game)??? And of course, we got in because of somebody else's "screw up" instead of us earning it. Either way your rationale is pure ignorance. Horshack, I agree 100% with you.......ohhh the irony, comical.

I thought us kicking Ole Miss' butt 28-6 was pretty critical to getting in. I'm still grasping for the reason that Ole Miss hasn't gone. Oh yeah, they've never been able to win the West, that's why. Do they teach a class in excuse making at the flagship?

Heck, if we are going to compare unrelated things, I bet the MSU team that went to Atlanta wouldn't have lost to your 7 - 1 Ole Miss team! Then you would've been 6 - 2. So there! Suck it up, there is a list of things in the 3 major sports that MSU HAS accomplished that Ole Miss HAS NOT accomplished. That is a fact. Live with it. Embrace your flagship status.
