When I had my ponytail for about 6 years it was the easiest. Got a 30 dollar trim about 3/4 times a year.
Now that I'm back to my mid-length hair again I'm about:

Sounds like you might have your hands in the wrong place there, champ.
Used to go once a month to a family friend at a salon. It was expensive, $40+tip. But he's a huge college ball fan, so we talk basketball the whole time. Free drinks, hot chicks wash my hair and give me a mini-massage, and I have a lumpy head and weird hair, so it can't be cut by just anyone. You get what you pay for: despite 5 head injuries and the lumps/scars that come with it, they somehow makes this thing look Hollywood.
Now, to save money, I go to a local barber every other time for 15 bucks. But haircuts are every 3 weeks to keep it sharp.
I actually used to shave it myself or have a friend do it (to get the neck). In the Bronx, the lot of us would just go out on the porch and cut each other's hair, which, after thinking about it, was quite the homoerotic ghetto event.
He or she would give you a mini-massage? I will not get a massage from another man.

Ha, she. Salons are 90% chicks, 9% gay-dudes, and 1% straight-dudes who realized cutting hair at a salon pays 300% more than being a barber.
And.. working in a place where it's smoking hot chicks all around you? Yeah, some gay dude might pinch your *** once in a while, but that's a price I'm willing to pay.

But it's starting to leave me now and I need haircuts like closer to 2-3 months and I don't wanna talk about that.
Why in the hell would dudes with non balding hair cut it every 2-3 weeks? That's a little OCD/psycho. It's hair. It grows.

My hair doesn't grow crazy fast but I can't go as long as some of you. I'd rather not have unneeded neck hair.

A haircut once per month, go to Larrys Haircutters in Louisville on Dixie, been going to him since I was in elementary school. $15 tip included, haircut, beard trim, eyebrows, etc. Price used to be $10-$12 when I was younger.
