Got a chance to talk to dan mullen's dad in the hotel lobby for about 30 minutes last sunday morning and he said that while he was down at the florida game he was speaking with one of the big alumni boosters (which he couldnt remember his name) and said that this gentleman told him that someone had donated $140 million to mississippi state and was told for half of that money to go straight to dan mullen or whatever he wanted to do with it. Mr. Mullen is also a big penn state guy and I asked him if penn state played miss state which way would he lean? He said, "i'd have to lean my son's way on that one and root for the bulldogs." He also said that he's not so sure on how accurate the "in-laws moving into starkville" rumor is. He said he still lives up in New Hampshire, but he said Megan's folks might be moving down there but he wasn't aware of it. Maybe some others can shed a little light on what Mr. Mullen had told me...

Thats a ton of cash. I wonder if that is the Leo Seal money? I had heard we got another large donation from a live booster that wanted to remain nameless, but I didn't think it was that much cash. That sounds like Seal's money.
Who was the banker who died right before the 2008 egg bowl that gave a generous donation to the athletic dept.? or was that just a rumor?
Sorry I don't keep up with the donors as much as other people...I though Leo Seal died years before?
