Scott keeps surprising me with actually selling premium seating that I think he has no chance of getting rid of, but that $50K/yr price point for the lofts just seems to take things to another level. A $4200/mo mortgage could build you one hell of a house in Starkville.

I know it's not football, but how much is a suite in DWS? You also can use the suites at DNF all year.

I was told that didn't include a monthly expense fee of $500-$1000.

So does that make the Lofts the most expensive apartment in Mississippi?

@ 4200/month plus 1000 fee is more than the mortgage on a million MILLION dollar home, only in this case you won't even be buying it.

However, it never ceases to amaze me what rich people will spend their money on so I have no doubt they will be gobbled up.

Not sure about the West side, but the NEZ was $30K for a 12-person suite and $40K for an 18-person suite. The big difference there, of course, being that most owners are probably splitting the obligation among a lot of people. I can't imagine a bunch of people wanting to go in together on a 2-BR loft.

You can build the biggest house on earth, but it will never have a balcony overlooking left field at Dudy Noble, and the ability to ride your elevator down to LFL.

I think you make a good point. The people that will be buying these aren't ones that are going to be worrying about an economical ROI. They're going to be folks with money to burn and that want something to show off while having a good time.

I've been playing the scratch off lottery every day since they announced the plans. I just have to win once. I like my odds.

I hope we have enough big time $$$ alums who will scoop them up. We probably do. Not for me though.

Not sure how much they are a year but someone told me our football suites are some of the largest in the country. The east side ones. Not sure how accurate that is.

Rumor is that almost half of these are already spoken for without them even attempting to sell any or actually having it on the primary agenda yet... TIFWIW...

One thing I would've liked to have seen there, would be for them to put some condos on the other side of the structure too. Obviously no view of the field, so sell/rent them much, much cheaper, but put some Wrigley-style bleachers on top and give those folks with highway view condos exclusive rooftop access.

That would be a hell of a club section.

This is the testing phase for potentially doing that in the future...

You mean building condos/apartments that look into DNF? I think that would be a no brainer idea. Seems like since we're probably close to our max crowd as far as consistently filling the stadium, we should be working on filling in with apartments looking over DNF. Would be unique if nothing else.

You will see most of these rented through companies owned or run by MSU folks

and written off as much as possible. Just my opinion.

You know what would be awesome - the M-Club at DWS will eventually be torn down. They could do the exact same thing in the south endzone as they are doing at DNF. Build lofts - bottom floor is the lockerroom. How awesome would that be - having an apartment that overlooks DWS and the Junction. Balconies on both side.

correct on both accounts. she was a consultant on petco.

i took a tour of petco before a professional game was ever played there. i was visiting a state buddy who was an intern when petco was being built (turf grass mgmt). all the interns were picking up sunflower seed hulls out of the grass and warning track. anywho, got to see the clubhouse and such. awesome park. i still have the opening day hardhat that found its way into my possession.
