Sports gambling taxes going to rev share

MS is leaving a ton of money on the table by not legalizing mobile sports gambling. I realize the land based casinos are the entities against it, but I'd think there's some type of compromise that could be formulated.
Excellent and as it should. 100s of $millions changing hands from gambling off college sports, so instead of squeezing the average fan for more take it from the ones who are raking in the big profits from it.

I think it's funny as hell when preachers and hardcore conservatives rail against lotteries, gambling, etc. as a tax on the poor. Well no, it's a tax on stupid. It's a choice, just like eating ice cream. I have no sympathy.

They have serve yourself MSU hand dipped ice cream at The Fresh Food Co on campus for awhile now and I've gotten pretty hooked on it, except for that nasty Muscadine Ripple.
It's like boxing. If you can punch, you have a chance. But when your opponent is throwing haymakers that don't connect, you sit back and watch them punch themselves out.
I don't think the hold up is the casinos. They are willing to support any bill that requires mobile sports betting in the state to run through one of the Mississippi casinos.
I think the legislators couldn't get agreement on how to distribute the revenue from mobile gaming. You got people that are lukewarm on the issue anyway and then not being happy with the split gives them an easy out to vote against it.
I have some sympathy. One, being dumb isn't a choice for most people. Two, for the truly compulsive gamblers, I believe there is a biochemistry issue that is just luck of the draw. You don't really know whether you're going to be one of the people susceptible to an addiction. Definitely they are ultimately responsible for their condition, but still have some sympathy for them. Just like alcoholics. Plenty of people drink to excess regularly and never get an addiction, and it seems to just be the genetic lottery as to who gets hooked and who doesn't.
Probably never happen, but if MS follows this path, they should only make it available for State and UM. They are the only two athletic programs that have a real economic impact on the overall state economy. They are also the only two that are going to be using the full cap amount of $20.5m. They are also the only two that are at a direct disadvantage when comparing to their peers in their respective conferences.

#3. Just look at the ingredient list. Blue Bell is just all around more "artificial." And much like drinking a Mexican Coke vs a regular Coke, you can't get that natural sugar flavor with corn syrup.
