So I know we have talked about this some and there was discussion in a lot of different directions. Have you guys agreed on how many actual spots we have open forthurs with uncommitted guys? With the back counting and such....is3 the final answer?

and those spot are for
1. Richie
2. Benequez
3. Liggins if he wants/or Georgia qb if he is not already going to Colo St.

-if we don't get liggins or Georgia qb then who......do we still have a shot at Alonzo Moore?

and us try to get a walk-on QB than to waste a scholly on a guy that nobody thinks would ever play unless it's an emergency. I remember Coach34 and some others a month or two ago were saying if we didn't get Liggins/Alford then we probably wouldn't waste a scholly on a less worthy QB....I guess we will see. In my opinion, If it comes down to Scheussler playing next year we are f*cked anyway, so why not get another playmaker with that scholly, or better yet an O-Lineman

I can promise you we're a lot less 17ed if we have to play Scheussler than we are if we have to play a walkon with no college offers at any level. We'll be hurting for sure, but at least we'll have a chance. It's not like you're even talking about replacing him with a top recruit. Anybody you pick up at this point as a "playmaker" or OL probably isn't going to ever amount to anything anyway. So your choice really is do you want to sign a marginal recruit at a position we don't have an immediate need at or one that we do.

It's still early, but so far he's been solid for a Louisiana Tech commit who only signed with us when a slot opened up on Signing Day.

Having said that, we need to sign Scheussler if we can.

But the odds of Schuessler being the next Dillon Day are no worse than the odds of whoever you might sign instead of him at this point. So why not take that chance on a position where you have an immediate need (that sentence isn't directed at you since you agree with me that we do need to sign Schuessler).

I know absolutely nothing about the kid, but I thought A Moore was a guy that we wanted, just didn't have room for if we got Liggins. So, I was basing my previous post off of that. If A Moore is not a far and away better WR than Scheussler is a QB, then you are right....we have a greater need at QB. However, if Moore is a 3 star WR with offers, and Scheussler is a NR QB with no offers, I would think you go with the WR and try to get a walkon QB of similar talent to Scheussler. That being said, apparently Scheuss is better than I thought he was.

a similar offense. He's a raw talent that can be groomed, and Dan has proven that he can do that. We need a QB that has the skill set to run it, and he has a good frame to grow into. I think we can all agree that our offense will change somewhat to preserve health at the QB position.

We've got the 2 Brown's coming.

If Liggins picks the MSU hat, he's in. This seems like something that is not going to happen.

Scheussler may or may not have been given an offer. Most likely not.

Alonzo Moore is out. We've taken Artemis Samuels as a Greyshirt, who will go to Hargrave for a semester, to fill that WR spot.

If we don't sign Scheussler Forest Williams is walking on.

If Williams walks on and we don't have to burn as Scholly on Scheussler we may take the big OL Camiel.

That's really about all there is left to figure out. Of course that may mean one commit doesn't make it. I have not heard anything but I wouldn't be surprised if at least one guy doesn't make his grades or something. Always seems to happen.

So then 3 is the magic number. As far as we know the browns fill two and the other is a wild card.

There are rumors of one morecommit 'adjustment' or something. It's not clear, maybe it's just a working assumption that out of 26 one doesn't make it. Maybe someone gets bumped, there's certainly nothing public about it. Which the coaches should be praised for, they do a real good job of keeping info close to the vest. There is something to be said for that.

I think the real deal is whether we offer Schuessler a Scholly or not. I'm not sure how much more valuable he is that Forrest Williams. But Williams has said that if Schuessler comes he won't.

And Camiel is still between us and Indiana, so it's not 100% he'll commit to us. But seems like he really likes us and wants in the SEC.

The Brown's are supposedly 100% though.
