There's not a nice way to say it, but Stanford is not good. Losers of 6 in a row, the Cardinal are getting outscored 221-109 in conference play. Now, they do have a surprising win at Syracuse earlier this season, and they started 2-1 before the six game skid. They have a fairly ineffective offense, ranked 122nd in the nation, and their defense isn't a whole lot better, ranked 105th. The only way UofL comes home without a win is they approach this game over confident. That's where the bye-week comes into factor. Are their heads right? Are they feeling too good about themselves? There's actually a path to the playoffs, however remote those chances might be. Will they maintain focus, one game at a time? There's that mysterious curse Brohm has, too. After a big win, he nearly always takes an L.

On paper, the Cards win fairly easily. I'd love for this to be an early rout, leave no doubt. Rhyme unintended.

I just keep remembering last year’s game at Pitt. Cards were in control early. Opening drive TD, three and out by Pitt, and Cards are driving to go up 14-0. Then they turned it over and completely lost their focus. Pitt tied it up and end up winning easily. Stanford is not as good as last year’s Pitt team but the game still scares me.
At least the crowd won’t be a factor.

I like the way we're running the football right now. It looks like we've figured out what's working with a qb who's taken a leadership role on the field. It won't be much more complicated than execution along with sticking to the defensive schemes that have taken hold over the last month- man coverage to free up linebackers to make plays and tackle.
If we take care of the football I think we'll roll over the Cardinal.

That very long trip out there is what worries me. Those things affect how guys play. It’s just a weird atmosphere, unfamiliar surroundings. Let’s hope for a good, solid win.

Taking the Cards past history of weird **** in these kind of games, Stanford decides to play a true freshman QB and he runs for 130 yards and two TD's and passes for 2 more TD's.

Cards turn over the ball twice near the goal line and have a key tying TD called back for holding. Stanford kicks 55 yard FG to win.

That's the kind of **** that has to happen for Louisville to lose this game. I watched NC State march up and down the field on Stanford several weeks ago. I watched most of the game because I needed Stanford with the points for my parlay bet.

I wasn't happy to say the least.

If the Cards are focused at all, they should have over 500 yards of offense and take care of buisness.

Personally, I would like to see us jump on the Cardinal “early and often”, so much so as to allow Clarkson an opportunity to get a series or two in to showcase his athleticism.

I'm not sure thats the approach Brohm will take. If our offense is clicking, no way does Brohm take away meaningful reps away from Slough. Maybe if we didn't have something still left to play for but we have to take care of our business.

Stanford does have very solid WR's. Their QBs have struggled, but if they are given time to throw it they could hurt the Cards downfield. It's always a challenge playing the game after a big win.

I don't really care how much the Cards win by I just hope they come home with the win.

Pitt was just 3-9 last year, so they weren’t much better than this Stanford team, if at all.

I flew out here on Wednesday and was surprised how many Cards fans were on my flight. Gonna be a vocal crew of UofL supporters.
Enjoy the Bay Area, Silicon Valley and San Francisco while you are there. I went there on a one month vacation and stayed nine years in the 70's. it's different now like every location has changed.

Go CARDs beat the Cardinal.

I hate being right. Terrible, terrible loss. Their heads weren’t right- all those GD penalties. This is real ******* bad.

The trends on that game from a betting perspective screamed the line was justified and maybe even a little low. Not covering was one thing to lose is just staggering.
