I have a co-worker who wants to bet me on the Stevie v. Huntley game.

I use to take the train to and from work when I worked in the Loop and a bunch of guys from the Board (BOT) would have lines on the games by Thursday afternoon. Mostly CCL though.

I think they plug it into a formula that predicts the outcome of the game based on if home/away and the current national rankings of both teams. I's just not sure which ranking they are utilizing to get the game outcome prediction

Corrected the post, forgot to apply Stevie as the home team. Puts them at -7, still taking them to cover.

Huntley has played some tough competition. lost to Prairie Ridge and Cary Grove. they did have a close game against west aurora though. I don't think Stevenson dominates this one.

Didn't West Aurora beat Huntley? think it was 27 to 21.

The two teams Huntley beat with a winning record were Jacobs 5-4 and McHenry 6-3.

Meh, I think I would still take Stevie and give the 7 points. But not as comfortable like you say with having to have Stevie win by two scores if real money were at stake....

Stevenson is better than people are giving them credit for...I'd lay double digits on this one.

Yup - it has the possibility for a big double digit spread.

I really like Stevie - my big debate for my bracket was the round two game: Stevie vs Brother Rice - who goes to quarter finals?

Huntleys OL completely wore down Stevie's small dl. Also, Huntley qb made some huge throws late in the game. He throws better than I initially thought. Huntleys d was just bend but don't break and they made plays when they had to.

Prairie Ridge beat Huntley 31-20 it was a close game most of the game and Cary-Grove beat Huntley 33-7. same offense and same defense
Ps. the whole Prairie Ridge team was at the wheeling/Cary game last night...

Huntley's win was very very impressive and great for the prestige of the FVC. I just poured myself a 44oz cup of FVC gatorade!!

Congrats again to Huntley!
