Spring football scrimmage

I enjoy and hate spring scrimmage. Sounds like our defense is hardcore...or does our offense suck? Or a combo of both? Sounds like Autry will be the next big NFL prospect out of MSU though. If nothing else Wilson is making us a household name in dominant again.

Scrimmage report indicates Tyler can hit the big plays with accuracy but then has 3 interceptions....what's up with that?

He'll be drafted next year. Probably not as high as Banks, but there isnt a huge gap between those two. Also, I think Malcom Johnson is the real deal.

I'd rather see our offense scoring 70 points per scrimmage.

Interceptions not a huge concern.

It's really difficult to evaluate a scrimmage based on stats or points. Along with the problems you just mentioned, another problem that the offense has is that the defense faces them everyday in practice, and therefore instinctively know all of Tyler's and the offense's tendencies. In a real game the defense doesn't have that luxery. I guarantee you that Slay was getting a little extra jump on the ball last night due to facing Tyler everyday and knowing the progressions. That being said, if we are going to win in the SEC we can't turn the ball over this much.

If Slay has a big year and Banks just has an okay year, it wouldn't shock me if Slay was drafted higher. While Banks gets a boost for his size and general athleticism, I think his 40 time could drop him a bit. Slay, while not as tall/long as Banks, still has great size and will run a blazing 40.<div>

I'm guessing Broomfield or Banks will move over and when Nickoe gets back, we should be fine there.

I don't think Banks is going to set the world on fire with his 40 time.

I think Autry will do more to improve the pass defense than Banks, Slay, and Whitley will.
