Lots of new assistants. Rhule has been very quiet, he needs to put all his preacher skills together and perform a miracle this season.

Meh. I was over Ek the minute he went shopping. All about himself.
I wish I was wired that way...I have stayed at certain places during my career for far longer than I should have...

The people new to the workforce seem to get it...jump from one job to another to get paid because the biggest/best raises come from starting at a new place, not waiting for the person who has the job you want at your company to retire.

You also do not know what is going on behind the scenes with these coaches. Many men would say that their families, children, and wives are the most important things to them, then they will just move around the country uprooting their kids and wives lives time and time again in the middle of the child rearing years. Money is great but it can only buy so much, every time the wife moves, she has to make new friends, a new community, same thing goes for the kids, and there is never anything to say about taking care of parents or having a relationship with extended family. College football coaches almost universally look miserable, they pretty much have to sell out for hookers and blow to even make the job worth it.

That is true too.

Why do they have press conferences at all? I'd rather they didn't say anything and let their play on the field do the talking. Until they beat a top 25 team I don't think they are important enough to warrant media attention.

Perhaps somebody showed him the video of Tom’s press conferences and said “this is how it’s done hat boy”. It’s unfortunate that he inflated the year 3 expectations to such a lofty level. Maybe the criticism wouldn’t be as vitriolic if he hadn’t. He failed to recognize the difference between Temple’s and Baylor’s conferences and what he would be facing at Nebraska. My take. He’s frustrated and humbled.

Did he inflate the year 3 expectations or did the media and fans?

It’s not like it’s the regular season where we get updates multiple times and it isn’t like they’re practically everyday of the week.

He talked plenty about year 3 at his previous stops. I didn’t buy in to that. I figured that while it was possible it wasn’t likely in the B1G.

You fail to acknowledge being blown out 3 games in a row to end the season. Also blown out by Minnesota!!!

Only 2 of last years 7 wins where against winning teams and those “winning teams” were 7-6.

10-17 in conference

worst recruiting class in god knows how long.

Meh transfer portal class

*rhule has a history of losing. Not winning

we can add more if you’d like fun facts?

now I’m hoping the significant decrease in lack of interest will remove pressure from the team and this year will be better. Cause anything worse would be really bad

Barney said he wants to be on kickoffs again and just does what he's told when it came to bringing them out
