So you are saying our chances of winning 2 games are very very very very very very slim. Got it.I don't buy lottery tickets either, and that's a chance at a much bigger return.

Yup. He's not really a fit for Heavy's offense. Thanks for the recap. I had a lot of optimism about KT throughout most of the year, but those last two games of the season honestly dampened a lot of it. It was hard to tell at times as to how much of the issue was the O line and how much was just him, but the entire offense just seemed completely out of sync more often than not during those two games.
My only real hope for this team is that Arnett's return is going to dramatically improve the defense because I don't feel like there's any real reason to believe that this offense should be much improved. Best case, it'll once again be middle of the pack in the SEC
Board? It's was 80% of our stupidass fanbase. This is the one thing that tells you about the football IQ on this board.
Blake Shapen was a really good QB if we could have protected him. I like that we played Kamario late in the season, but the fans yelling all season at Shapen just don't understand enough about whats going on.
The only intrigue that exists for 2026 MSU football is what type of offensive philosophy we will see from Arnett over the last 3 to 4 games of the season.
Selmon should be fired immediately if he even takes a sniff in Arnett's direction for that interim spot. Tbro Arnett showed he was topped out at DC with that inconceivably stupid decision to scrap the Air Raid for 2023.
Yep. We'll luck our way to 5-7 or 6-6, then bottom out in 2027.6-6 is most obvious result. Improvement, but still blah. If you think anything else, you haven’t been watching State long enough.
Y'all were saying the same for 4 games last year and we won 5 and y'all wanted Lebby fired. We got to a bowl last year too.If we win 6 games I will be ecstatic.
It won't be luck. We will improve incrementally and our schedule will soften a touch. But it won't be satisfying because it will be incremental.Yep. We'll luck our way to 5-7 or 6-6, then bottom out in 2027.
I mean you want a cookie b/c you were finally on the intelligent side of a thought?Yup. He's not really a fit for Heavy's offense.

Mostly people were just ready to give the freshman a shot. It was our only thing to be excited about at the end of the season. Shapen was fine but KT had way more upside.Board? It's was 80% of our stupidass fanbase.
Really? Your literal next sentence says this:Mostly people were just ready to give the freshman a shot.
How do you know he has more upside? All we know is that he's a better runner. That only takes you so far.It was our only thing to be excited about at the end of the season. Shapen was fine but KT had way more upside.
No, it's just another case in a long line of MSU fans turning on QB in favor of the backup. Our fanbase is clueless about football.Shapen had his moments but the Florida game ending poisoned a lot of people against him.
I know he had more upside because Shapen was about to be out of eligibility. Might as well get Kamario more experience at that point. Shapen was as good as he was going to get. KT would improve as he got more in game reps.Really? Your literal next sentence says this:
How do you know he has more upside? All we know is that he's a better runner. That only takes you so far.

I'd rather try to get a win. And Shapen gave us the best chance of that.I know he had more upside because Shapen was about to be out of eligibility. Might as well get Kamario more experience at that point. Shapen was as good as he was going to get. KT would improve as he got more in game reps.
I don't think Shapen improved our chances much if at all with that OL against Ole Miss. He was also terrible against Mizzou. 2 pick sixes the first was when we were down 10 in the 3rd quarter.I'd rather try to get a win. And Shapen gave us the best chance of that.
I’ve seen this posted too many times over the years. I’ll believe it when I see it.Please tell me you get the sarcasm in the tweet…
Our OL is going to be serviceable this year. Much improved over last season
Leach was widely hated and Arnett was crowned as the brains behind the operation. That is evidence of severe intellectual deficiency.Really? Your literal next sentence says this:

Guess you never heard of RG3. He Played in this offense. Taylor has similar traits im not saying he’s RG3Yup. He's not really a fit for Heavy's offense.

That's actually a good point, I'll give you that, especially in this new playoff era. Once you miss the playoff, more and more teams will just tank and play for next year.I know he had more upside because Shapen was about to be out of eligibility. Might as well get Kamario more experience at that point. Shapen was as good as he was going to get. KT would improve as he got more in game reps.
I'm sure it did. And it doesn't help that we have a bonehead coach. But Shapen's passing to-date has been about the only good part of the Lenny Error. Are you seriously saying that the end of the Florida game where Shapen's terrible decision cost us a shot to win the game didn't cost him the support of a lot of fans? How can you even argue that?
We were largely uncompetitive in that game, and Taylor looked like Omarr Conner playing in the Croom Coast. Hard to get much worse.I don't think Shapen improved our chances much if at all with that OL against Ole Miss. He was also terrible against Mizzou. 2 pick sixes the first was when we were down 10 in the 3rd quarter.

But yeah, overall, considering Lenny's dumb coaching, it was close enough that fans got to show their dumb side once again. Only QBs in my lifetime that didn't get booed were Sleepy (got hurt) and freaking Dak. This fanbase booed (multiple times) Nick 17-ing Fitzgerald.
He’s got to win 7 to returnYep. We'll luck our way to 5-7 or 6-6, then bottom out in 2027.
That in and of itself is a red mark on Selmon. Either you know or you don't. Setting arbitrary marks like that is bush league. He’s got to win 7 to return
Agree. Our fans will accept that because we always have baseball.***I think he's back with 5 wins.
Didn't Dak get booed? I know he got benched. That's actually a good point, I'll give you that, especially in this new playoff era. Once you miss the playoff, more and more teams will just tank and play for next year.

No, I came to this board and made a post stating that Dak should be starting over Tyler Russell and got banned.Didn't Dak get booed? I know he got benched.
Everyone would prefer someone who can do both, but given the offensive line most people wanted someone who could avoid pressure considering there was so much of it on literally every single play. There were people who just wanted a change because they thought Shapen was awful, but that was not the majority. It was not fair to Shapen to leave him back there as a sitting duck. That’s what the geniuses wanted. They crap talked a 65% passer and heaped praises on Mr 50% because he could run. So that’s what we are going to get. A running QB that will be a one read guy. The 3rd and 4th options may as well pack up their bags next season.
