Here at the Four Play, I try to be witty, sarcastic, and generally just a pleasure to whoever reads it. I fail often but occasionally find the mark. Jack was an icon in those regards to me. He had just the right and light hint of sarcasm when things weren't exactly going MSU's way, he was always full of that dry as the Sahara wit, and he was always a pleasure to listen to. The difference of course is that Jack never missed (along with talent with a much larger audience). In over half a century of lows, lows, lows, and the occasional high with MSU athletics, Jack always nailed it. He was the soundtrack to drives to Crenshaw to see my Grandma and Aunt, to my dad and I playing catch in the front yard, and to all those Saturday nights in front of the TV with friends, watching the game but listening to Jack. I've missed hearing him dearly these last few years, and it seems every day I read another story about him that makes the room a little dusty. This one is for you, Jack. Cheers!
This one is a little different obviously. There are still "answers" but they certainly aren't in any typical Four Play form. It's just a final tip of the cap to the man that gave so much to MSU. Highlight to space next to "To Jack:" to read them.
1.
To Jack: To help decorate your new home
2.
To Jack: To keep that voice humming
3.
To Jack: Because I know you'll still be watching the games and you're gonna need it
4.
To Jack: Because things in the MSU family just seem a little incomplete without you around
