Same question I had last year after Ewers came back from injury and was handed the reins again. Maybe Archie is orchestrating him getting to the NFL with minimal wear and tear?

Or maybe he sucks
I would like to think that's true, but from what I've seen, he only needs PT at this point. He's got all the raw tools and can actually run a little bit. I'm sure Archie doesn't want him to run, but sometimes all QBs at all levels need to run and it could be the single play that wins a big game. So, unless he gets hurt, we'll see him Oct. 25 @ DWS.

That’s been my question since about late October. Because Ewars was very average last year.

I think Sark was probably playing the wrong QB at least the last half of last year. Sark could be in for some criticism this year. If young Manning lives up to the hype, why the heck didn't you play him last year? If he doesn't, that's two straight highly hyped QBs who have under-performed.

I think it was typical coach's loyalty. Manning probably isn't all he is made out to be. However I am sure he is as good as Ewers. I was a little surprised by his speed. He is no speed merchant but quicker that his uncles.

His TD run, (edit) watching the replay, manning looks average speed. We looked slow AF and not even trying to hit him. Damn it.

I saw all I needed to see when Manning tried to run on Ohio State, he looked like a first year freshman the way he ran on this one and got up with sea legs and had to leave the game. He was not ready for big boy ball last year, Spurrier knows that as well as anyone. Guessing he goes full Peyton in 2025 and drops back and dumps it when he gets pressure.

One thing about Spurrier is that we hated what he would say when it was about us, but he always had a thread of asking the same question that everyone else was thinking

We made it very easy for young Manning when he played against us.

We prolly would’ve got fined for hitting him, tbh…
