After much deliberation, I have come to the opinion that The Brook will spring the massive upset and walk away 2-0.
Anyone else see this coming?
In other news, the Earth is round and fire is hot.

About 70% of the people agree with meBones. You’re a huge sandbagger![]()
Should be an amazing surprise for, dare I say, everyone.Anyone else see this coming?

Considering SCN is the heavy favorite you'd have to give me either quite the spread or a larger payoff.I’ll take SCN - Bones, what’s the wager?
Curie has about 4 guys with D1 offers and a couple more high on watch lists and they just got killed by Fenwick 45-15. SCN wins by 10Reality is that SCN has only one player with D1 offers. (and not high D1).
SCN is bigger on the line, but Brook is more talented.. and by a lot.
I think brook makes SCN one-dimension on offense and exposes their secondary.
27-10 Brook.
Agreed. SCN is like Fenwick while The Brook is like Curie.Curie has about 4 guys with D1 offers and a couple more high on watch lists and they just got killed by Fenwick 45-15. SCN wins by 10

Yeah I enjoy watching good players to an extent. Watching Nubin was great for two years. Watching Urwiler do his thing was fantastic. But watching that HF kid a couple years back put up 400+ and a thousand TDs was torture.I think Brook wins a close game. SCN is overrated this year. Furtney is an outstanding player though and Bones will enjoy watching him play but in the end scoreboard sez Brook by a TD.

I don't know that I have an answer. This isn't the case where we have an obvious one or two. According to colleges it's the OL John Williams and S Walters. Please excuse my lack of familiarity but who is the best player on the field for Brook?
Yeah, they were working really hard to keep us out of the endzone in the 4th, they being the zebras. Also, helped extend some SCN drives. I also thought 35-0 was closer to what I saw. SCN is a good team and will win some games this year. The DuKane will probably come down to them and Batavia.Bolingbrook was flagged 15 times, while SCN had 1 penalty. Brook also fumbled the hall twice inside SCN’s 25 yard-line. Should have been 35-0.
Oh well. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.

Better on defense than last year, probably worse on offense. Will likely be 7-2 and a 1st or 2nd round exit from the playoffs. So that means Brook is very very good this year.

It's last year's team minus 2 D1 RBs (MSU and E KY) and a D1 CB (Northwestern) but with what will be a D1 LB (Montini transfer)First round exit? Nah. Too much talent on that team.

Otherwise there's a lot of returning starters from a 7-3 team.
It's more that we could run into a WV or Warren or Barrington etc. Like you guys had LWE beat a couple years ago. That 8A terrain is treacherous.I probably don’t place as much stock in the whole D1 recruit thing as others. Too many other important factors that contribute to team success (coaching, scheme, preparation, chemistry, depth and just plain old playing the right guys in the right spots).

He gave the Curie/Fenwick example, I couldn't tell if he was trolling or serious so I ran with it.Watch out for The Fighting @ClownBaby Tigers.

SCN and Batavia aren't on the same level. Batavia clear favorite to win DuKane and might be the favorite to win 7A depending on how classes break.
Not sure they will play a competitive conference game this.
Also, don't sleep on Wheaton South to finish 2nd in the conference

Yes he is a true scholar athlete 6'5 210lb and runs a 4.55 forty. passed 100 yards and ran for 100 yards with 2TDS against SCN... had 8 other D1 offers ...sister D1 BB at Duke, dad NFL with the JetsYou know what I like this @zstar fellow. That's good quality posting. Poetic even. I disagree with the conclusions but can't ignore the points made.
Devyn will someday make for a fine lawyer or financial consultant using his Ivy League education. Kyler on the other hand, that's a two sport D1 athlete.
