All.... Cyclone fans welcome our fellow "brothers in arms" to Springfield Saturday. It should be a great game. Plentiful seating (room for over 2000 on the visitors side) overlooking a state of the art turf field.

For those that are into tailgating you should feel right at home. Next to the west campus where the stadium is at there is a large drive in grassy area that easily holds a couple hundred vehicles. An entrance into the stadium is nearby. Bring your grills and whatever else you can scrounge up and come early. We will tell each other fibs about our respective teams before the game ( going to confession later of course) and ultimately let the players decide it on the field. Ratsy

All.... Watched some St. Laurence film. Impressive. Solid defense, outstanding RB and a QB that can throw. Now if the weather will only cooperate. Ratsy

Thanks for extending the hospitality. Looking forward to Saturday and seeing the facilities in person. They look top notch from the pictures I have seen. Hoping for a good game and a fun time. As you said, we will let the players decide it on the field. It's all about the kids.

Regardless of the outcome this weekend, I just want to express my admiration for what Coach Blackmon has done to build the program at St. Laurence. Two straight semifinal appearances is a solid achievement, and I hope that the VIkings nation is jacked up about it.

Couldn't agree more. A strong CCL, top to bottom, helps all CCL teams.

All.... A question for the rules people out there. (a case of "soda pop" hangs precariously in the balance) The way I read it (the success rule) SHG will be 6A next year not 5A or 7A. Argued this for two hours in one of the local churches last night. Ratsy

6A. SHG even if they lose Sat 70-0 are 6A. they have got to the title game once last 2 years now. Had SHG lost before Final they would have been 5A next year. if they get to 6A final next year 2 out of 3 years they are 7A. if a team makes it 2 out of 4 they are bumped.

Definitely NOT 7A. My guess based on the rule as it sits SHG 6A and Montini 6A ?

Montini is also 6A because they got to title game in 2015 (won it but that is irrelevant just matters if u get to final) and 2nd round loss this year hence 6A.
