All 9 MLB teams left on Fan Duel cancelled their contracts earlier this year.

Cardinals are joining MLB Media which will produce and distribute the broadcast.

ETA: Braves didn’t join MLB Media, and are taking their rights to market to build own distribution

Very odd that the entire states of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Iowa are covered, but the entire state of Missouri is not.
Well that Royal blue team over in western Missouri does command a pretty big following and just a little in-state rival as well.

I understand there’s another baseball team in Missouri.

Still doesn’t explain why someone in Council Bluffs, Iowa or the Oklahoma panhandle would somehow be more likely to be Cards fans than Royals fans, or why many of the Missouri counties that are 100-150 miles from KC would be more likely to be Royals fans than Cards fans.

I hate Blackout rules. I have ESPN+, but can't watch a single Nashville Preds game.

If you are a fan of an NL East team, like the Phillies or the Nats, or an NL West team, like the Dodgers or the Padres, and you live in the Memphis market, you can't watch your team when they play the Reds, Cardinals, or Braves. Even if you've purchased MLB Extra Innings. You have to watch the local broadcast, which you may not have access to depending on your TV provider.

On what planet is Cincinnati considered a local market to Memphis?

And now, more games are being played on streaming services and those get blacked out on Extra Innings.

It's a scam.

Here’s the royals broadcast map for their tv app. St Louis market is left out just like the KC market is left out of the cardinals broadcast.

The guy refuses to get proper hitting instruction or listen to the hitting coaches. It’s his own fault.
I think some of the blame is on Moron. He hit his rookie year, but numb-nuts and staff wanted more launch angle and exit velocity. He’s become a sucker for the slider. Don’t know if he can be fixed.

Don’t know who Moron is, but given that launch angle and exit velocity are two metrics that define the modern day slugger in the big leagues, I’m not sure they are the numb-nuts here.

I'm assuming the Moron question is rhetorical, but in case it isn't, it's a reference to the worst GM/POBO that MLB has ever seen.

I agree that exit velocity and launch angle are the governing metrics, but messing with the swing of a rookie who had a really great year made no sense. Here are Walker's last 3 years:

2023: K rate 0.223, 0.276/0.342/0.445/0.787
2024: K rate 0.280, 0.201/0.253/0.366/0.619
2025: K rate 0.319, 0.215/0.278/0.306/0.584

Power numbers went down, K rate went up. They probably messed him up for good.

I probably wouldn’t have messed with him and hoped he built on a good rookie season…. But I understand why they did. Nobody wants a 6’6 250 corner outfielder (who’s not a very good outfielder) to slug .445 and have an OPS less than .800. I think you could get a much better fielder to hit the numbers Walker hit as a rookie.

But again, I agree with you that I would have waited to see if the power numbers improved before I messed with his whole swing.
