Tonight a couple of plays kept Rich Central in the game. Rita had stopped them in the first quarter and on a punt no one from Rita covered the I back in front of the punter. They ran for a first down and kept the drive alive and scored. I’m hoping that mistake will not happen the rest of the season.

Just before half Rita went up 27-7 and Rich Central ran the kickoff back with 10.9 seconds left on the clock. I’m pretty sure that Rita will kick that ball out of bounds the rest of the season in the same situation. Rich Centrals last score came on the subs. Rich Central won their game last week 38-0. They have a number of very talented individuals on the team. They will put up a lot of points by the end of the season.

Rita’s tackling has been improved over last year as well as pass coverage. Rita will go as far as their defense takes them. The QB’s exchanges with the backs is also smoother than last year with a full season running the new offense. One of Rita’s running backs was out but will be back next week.

Rita’s freshmen beat St. Pat’s last week 52-2. I don’t get hung up on freshman teams much but for the first time in decades the freshmen will be running the exact same offense as the varsity.

Catholic League season starts next week.

Another solid team win.

The Olympians are big and fast, they will have a nice year.

SR's rest of the season starts this week with PC. The keys for the season remain senior leadership, health and tackling. TL, great point on the pass D, really nice so far.

Great recap, TL! Year two in this offense, I do think the mistakes will be limited, which is always a good thing. If SR can keep the turnovers to a minimum, they'll be in good shape. Great start so far; off to New Lenox against the Celtic.

I like the uptempo offense. Get a play off every 15 seconds. Keeps the defense on the field. St pats was sucking air by the end of the first quarter with hands on hips. They are in great shape to do it. Last night Rich central was doing the same. As long as they avoid turnovers and quick 3 and outs.

Yep Rich Central called timeouts to catch their breaths last night. I don't see that happening in CCL season thou.
