Baylor remains #1.


Kansas remains #3.


West Virginia is #12 even though SIX teams ranked above the Mountaineers have as many OR MORE losses than the Mountaineers! #10 Seton Hall and #11 Oregon have FOUR losses.


I guess voters aren’t convinced that Huggins Heroes Pitbull Defense and Top 10 defense are real enough to merit Top 10 status.

That's great! WVU always performs better with a chip on its shoulder, just like its coach!

Maybe WVU has a history of not finishing. Three straight Big 12 title game losses. Plus last years hyped team that flopped maybe too fresh in the pollster’s memories to just declare a team that fades out and under achieves deserves a top 10 ranking.

WVU (and coach Huggins) are getting to a point where it’s time to put up or shut up. In the nation’s eye.

What you say is true. However, IMO what''s holding many voters back is our lack of consistency on offense and our periodic scoring dry spells. When you look at almost (if not all) of the teams ranked above WVU, you see teams with a more consistent offensive production. We will need both if we are going to make a realistic run in March Madness.
