I'm considering moving my seats to the second row of the upper deck. Can anyone tell me if the safety handrail along the front of the upper deck obstructs the view of the field?

From my view, definitely not. (Row 6 Section 218)

What Row are your seats in now?

I am in Row 3 up top on the aisle and IMO that is the best deal going....

- Row starts with Seat #5.
- Shortest Row in the Section so the least amount of people.
- No obstruction issues no matter what your size.
- Easy in, easy out.

there's an app on the RU website that lets u put in your seat and see the view.

Not sure how accurate it is.
I am in 222 row 6 and if you are down close enough, the upper deck is much better for watching plays develop and for following the game, spotting wide open receivers etc.
That said, when it is cold and windy, it is less pleasant than downstairs. I prefer sitting upstairs as the view of the field is great and if it is bad weather, you can always move downstairs as the stadium empties out. That bad weather theory works until 3 years from now when we are competing for national championships and no one leaves!!! Go RU

your issue will be that you cannot see the crowd below you and it tends to not have the same kind of atmosphere on the upper levels especially the first few rows...yet the view of the field and plays developing is a big plus

Agree. If you want to see plays develop it's great.

I would add that you lose a lot of the atmosphere no matter where you sit upstairs. The difference in noise level alone is striking.
