Offense:<div>1) Scrap this whole "Running Game Coordinator, Offensive Coordinator, Passing Game Coordinator" nonsense. Who's the coodinator? Who is calling the shots? I guarantee this causes friction within the staff. Mullen hires Koenning to be OC but also hires his buddy Hevesy to be Running Game Coordinator. I honestly don't think Koenning is the problem. </div><div>
</div><div>2) Replace Hevesy. He hasn't done anything to improve the O-Line. He would rather recruit Trapp from California who contributes zero, than spend his energy locking down good OLine in the Mississippi JUCOs. It's obvious he can't recruit and it's time to stop blaming Croom for the craptastic production we see from the line this year. He's had 3 years to add talent to the roster and hasn't. Our best linemen last year were all Croom guys. Not his fault anymore.</div><div>
</div><div>3)Move Greg Knox to WRs. Before he came to State, he was the WRs coach under Tubbs at AU and TSUN and had some very solid units during his tenure. He's a great guy, players love him, and he's a good recruiter.</div><div>
</div><div>4) Replace Sallach and Mirando. Neither one have the resume or recruiting ability to even sniff an SEC job, I don't care if it is MSTATE. These two are just another example of Mullen hooking his buddies up with good jobs. </div><div>
</div><div>5) What happened to the promise Mullen made when he was hired that he would taylor the offense around the personnel he had? I'd be pissed if I were Tyler Russell.</div><div>
</div><div>6) Why do we not see more of Robert Johnson and Malcolm Johnson? Both at least LOOK like SEC receivers and they both seem to have good speed and great hands. Whats the problem?</div>

He is the farthest thing from our problem.<div>
</div><div>I think Mirando absolutely needs to be gone. If moving Knox to WR and hiring a new RB coach will help then so be it. But Mirando needs to go yesterday. Sallach hasn't brought much to the table recruiting wise, but he is also the position coach for Malcolm Johnson that you spoke so highly of. I'm in favor of keeping him just for uniformity/consistency in the staff.</div><div>
</div><div>To me, the WR are the only position on the field that have not lived up to their potential. So, Mirando needs to go...</div>

I understand the consistency within the staff issue but we are consistently sucking at recruiting. Sallach and Hevesy have no connections to the South and have shown that they don't recruit or evaluate talent very well. i know hevesy was at Florida but he was the Assistant O-Line coach and was given little recruiting responsibilities. Mirando is just young and inexperienced. We can't afford to have only 3 guys carrying the load in recruiting (Melvin, Hughes, Knox). To me, these seem like wasted positions as long as Sallach, Mirando, and Hevesy are there. Regarding Malcolm Johnson, its absurd for him to be at tight end. We should be using him very similarly to how we use Chris Smith, short passes and let him muscle out a few more yards.

And that pretty much every back up on the line is a redshirt freshman? You can fault him for not finding some JUCO guys, but it's definitely a crooms problem that we don't have a two deep on the O-Line filled primarily with people that have been on campus 3 years or longer.<div>
</div><div><div>Also, Mullen hasn't had 3 years to add talent to the roster. When he came in, it was more or less too late in the recruiting process to recruit for need. The class was in decent shape when he got here, but I don't think there was a single o-line in that class. </div> </div>

Auburn fans will tell you that Knox is a terrible wide receivers coach, but they acknowledge that he was a great recruiter for them. I think Knox should stay exactly where he is.

From a pretty close source Hevesy does not play well with others and has made some questionable choices in recruiting evaluation. Plus this is his oline and they are the weak point of the team
