What I'm saying.
Our fans don't stalk the players, tweet at them uncontrollably, we don't coordinate dumb blonds to hang onto the best ones' arms, and we don't talk about God's plan for them to play for the University of Mississippi State*. You come to MSU to play football, not get a Matthew McConaughey reception at the bar. Our players get overwhelming support from students and fans but not so much that anyone is going to go flying over the railing at the bar to go talk to Russell or McKinney. That ****'s unhealthy.
*How can any of you sit here and argue about how players just like Ole Miss for the hell of liking it when they don't even know the correct name of the university? They signed their amatueur status to you without doing an ounce of homework, and that's not fishy? You're smarter than that. My 2 year old nephew is smarter than that.

I can't decide whether it's sad or funny that you actually believe every bad thing you hear about Ole Miss and every good thing you hear about MSU. If you legitimately view the rivalry as some sort of battle between good (MSU) and evil (Ole Miss), it's time to take a deep breath and reevaluate things. You are no different than Rebel Jacob. and trust me, i don't hate state like you hate Ole Miss. state is about 4th on my list. i have a lot of state family members and good friends here in Oxford that are state friends. i could care less if yall go 11-1 every year (the one loss to us of course).

i am pretty sure the trash talking stemmed from yall last year. running your trap to bama (which i really wish yall had taken them to the shed) and then to us. putting up the big sign on the state capital that it's your state blah blah blah (which is actually very good in my opinion). i would say that is running your mouth. i am sure we did and have too, but i can assure you we aren't dumb enough to put a t-shirt on the statue of Bear Bryant and have a picture taken. i mean, if we were undefeated and had played somebody in the top 100, maybe. but not with yalls schedule. you could see that train wreck coming a mile away...and you know it and so did most state fans. also, banks couldn't cover Moncrief if he was running on his knees. he77, banks and slay together couldn't cover Moncrief if he told you where he was going. i mean we played the song "Feed Moncrief"...didn't that give you any indication that we were going to throw it to him? you got beat...deal with it. i did for 3 years in a row. the world didn't end.
quitting in the second half. true enough your team didn't quit in the second half. they got hammered for 4 quarters in 5 of the last 6 games...you know, when you played teams with talent. we didn't quit...it is called depth and we were seriously lacking there and anybody with half a football mind would tell you that. it looked to me like the state fans quit about mid way through the 3rd as the mass exit began in our stadium.

some of yalls tune changes everytime a recruit chooses us, and the same goes for some of our fans. if he chooses state he isn't that good or they are cheating. same goes for some of your fans. the bottom line is, there are these types of fans on both sides. NOTHING Ole Miss does is fair according to you. we are always cheating. the players we have are head cases and won't get in school (even though they are already enrolled). i definitely wouldn't be calling anybody out for cheating right now though. and maybe, just maybe you should treat them like rock stars. that is what kids want these days and if you don't know that, i can't help you.
your passion for state is awesome and don't let that change, but be realistic.

There are things I don't like about the way MSU operates but as a whole I'm happy with it. Why can't I be an MSU fan and not like Ole Miss's strategy without being "sad"? Are you arguing that there aren't any differences in Mullen's and the last 3 Ole Miss coaches' approaches?
I'm about to start grad school at Ole Miss. If I took the rivalry as serious as you claim I wouldn't have applied. Come on man, you're the one on an MSU board with some kind of superiority complex. I'm not on Spirit preying on everything I disagree with. Take that **** home.
Have you read the news lately? There's a little probation issue with your school right now. Also, if there are differences in your current staff's approach and our's then I would think Mullen might consider changing the approach (which actually he's already done. Remember the "Our State" recruiting strategy?). You really think we are ashamed because we do a great selling job with recruits? Even if all of those ridiculous things that people say about our recruiting are true, if it helps us get classes like last yr (and this yr so far) I'll take it.

Please! Ole Miss had fifty some odd scholarship players last year! Our starters had to participate on special teams. We run an uptempo offense that runs many more plays per game than the majority of college football. We lost to A&M, LSU, and Vanderbilt in not only the 4th quarter but the last few series of the games! I won't even compare MSU outings against these common opponents to ours. But given all of the above are you really going to sit there and speak such outlandish jargon as you stated above? If so, you may need more help than much of us suspected! Lol! Geez! Strength and conditioning, my friend, is definitely a prerequisite and best friend of an uptempo offense such as ole miss'!
