Points so far:

*TAMU doesn't want the Big12 to disintegrate. Wonders why they're blowing up the league over one school leaving (Neb).
*Stallings has a preference for TAMU's next league. Won't say what.
*Doesn't know the preference of TAMU's board of regents.
*When Finebaum tells him about UT's intention to go to the Pac-10, Stallings asks, "What does that have to do with A&M?"
*A&M and UT being in separate conferences doesn't bother him. "A&M is big enough to be on its own."

Finebaum thinks that Stallings just sent an invite to Slive that we are ready to talk. Stallings said that we don't need Texas and we are not riding anyone's coat tails. My question is would Byrne SR not be wanting to be in the same conference as the ninja.</p>

tells him to do or he`ll be free to go to any league he wants to find his next job. They make our cigar boys look like small potatoes.

Stallings is making a huge push to get A&M in the SEC. And he's right. The SEC is a much better option for A&M than the PAC-16 is. And A&M is a great option for the SEC. Add A&M and VA Tech (Florida St. or Missouri if the Virginia politicians won't let VA Tech leave) and then sit tight at 14. The SEC would still be the undisputed top conference in the country and would be stronger than ever.
