By cheating, he ran away from his defender. There was no one to battle him for the ball

You either cross a boundary before you are allowed to, or you don't. Simple.

2 that have LANE VIOLATION at the top and the two screen pics, and one that says SNUBBED or 17 NCAA and has our resume and Florida's with the updated RPIs and SOSs. Someone with the skills make it happen.

I thought it was at the time I watched it, but was too distracted by the madness that insued on the missed FT to go back and watch it. I just watched it again - normal speed and slow motion- and Bledsoe clearly took a stutter step and almost another full step (it was close as to when the dribble hit the court) as Barry approached him and then, of course, fouled him intentionally. Clear traveling violation...MSU ball...up 3...5.5 seconds left...more than likely two FT's on the way with less than 5 seconds on the clock.

The Big East for instance, told some officials (one whom I believe was involved in our FIRST UK debacle this season): you guys can just sit our conference tournament out. We'll try to find some competent refs to come to NYC. Of course, the Big East isn't nearly as top-heavy as the SEC in hoops, plus they have big name coaches (Pitino, Huggins, Boeheim, etc.) whose word probably carries more weight than any SEC coach's would with Slive.
It's late, and I'm rambling. My point is this: I'm not saying they should be suspended, I'm just saying they should never be allowed to call a SEC championship game, or any involving Kentucky or MSU again (or we play the game, but under protest-can you do that in hoops?). Or just ANY acknowledgment that they screwed up would be a step in the right direction. Just a smidge of accountability. That's all.

When Barry gets to the sideline after fouling out, he clearly says "wasn't that a walk?" Or something like that. We thought the same thing. And my buddy, a uk fan who was there, said he couldn't believe they didn't call it, because everyone saw it.

the officials got caught up in 'watching' the game instead of 'officiating' it... the guy at the bottom should be watching for the infraction, yet he's watching the ball. he should be fined himself.

"Uh we screwed up and we're sorry" from the SEC office or Slime. They reserve those for the Bamas and Floridas of football and the UKs of basketball. Remember the "That's inconclusive" we got when we presented the blown call on the illegal forward pass in the Houston game to the head of officials.

At least the Pac-10 refscalled a lane violation with 4.4 seconds left in their 2pt championship game. Too bad they weren't reffing our game or maybe its good for Washington that they weren't playing UK.

Yes we should have made our free throws. Yes someone besides Benock should have thrown the ball in. Blah...blah...blah....but the fact remains that the no-call directly caused the outcome of the game. Even with the missed free throws and the blown in-bounds play we still win if the correct call is made.

Mississppi State should definitely pay the fine... no hesitation. Whether you like the guy as our coach or not, you need a guy who will stand up when someone needs to do so.
